New to Grow
Hi, I’m a therapist who works with teens and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, emotional dysregulation, life transitions, and high-stress situations. I strive to create a space where clients feel comfortable being honest without fear of judgement. I believe therapy should feel human and collaborative, not cold or clinical. My style is warm, direct, supportive, and engaging, while also helping clients challenge patterns that may be keeping them stuck.
In the first session, clients can expect a collaborative conversation focused on understanding what brings them to therapy, what they’ve been struggling with, and what they hope will change. I also explore important relationships, stressors, coping patterns, and personal strengths. My goal is for clients to leave feeling heard, understood, and less alone in what they are experiencing.
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to connect with people, including clients who may have struggled opening up to others in the past. I’m comfortable working with intense emotions, crisis situations, trauma, family conflict, and high-stress environments while remaining calm, supportive, and grounded. I provide nonjudgmental support while also helping clients challenge unhealthy patterns and build healthier ways of coping. I incorporate trauma-informed care, EMDR techniques, emotional regulation skills, and practical problem-solving into my work. I also bring unique life experiences and a human approach to therapy that helps clients feel understood on a deeper level. My focus is not only on symptom reduction, but on helping clients improve relationships, gain confidence, process painful experiences, and feel more in control of their lives.
Other specialties
I identify as
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I use a person-centered approach by creating a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, understood, and emotionally safe. I focus on building genuine connection, empathy, and trust while helping clients explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences at their own pace.
EMDR
I use EMDR to help clients process traumatic experiences, negative beliefs, and distressing memories that continue to impact their emotions, relationships, and daily functioning. EMDR helps clients reprocess difficult experiences in a safer, less emotionally overwhelming way while reducing symptoms such as anxiety, hypervigilance, intrusive thoughts, and emotional reactivity.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we explore unhelpful thinking patterns, cognitive distortions, and negative core beliefs that may be contributing to anxiety, depression, trauma responses, or relationship difficulties. I help clients challenge these thoughts, develop healthier perspectives, and practice coping skills that improve emotional regulation and daily functioning. CBT is used in a collaborative and supportive way that helps clients build insight, increase self-awareness, and create meaningful behavioral change.
Positive Psychology
I use positive psychology by helping clients recognize their strengths, resilience, and personal successes while building healthier perspectives and coping skills. I focus on increasing hope, self-worth, gratitude, and meaningful connection to support emotional growth and long-term well-being.
