Hi, I’m Dr. Amanda Hart, a Licensed Clinical Psychologist. I provide therapy for anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, and life transitions for adolescents and adults, including difficulty adjusting to changes in relationships, work, or daily life functioning. I also work with individuals seeking support for emotional regulation, coping skills, confidence, and improving overall daily functioning and performance in personal goals. My clinical experience includes both outpatient and inpatient mental health settings, allowing me to support a wide range of symptom severity and clinical needs. My approach is integrative and holistic, incorporating CBT, DBT, and mindfulness-based interventions. Treatment is tailored to each client’s goals and focuses on building practical coping strategies, self-compassion, and long-term emotional resilience. I strive to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel understood and supported. My goal is to help you move forward with greater clarity, stability, and hope.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session, often called the intake session, is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. We will talk about what brought you to therapy, your current concerns, and relevant personal or mental health history so I can better understand your needs. This session is also a chance for you to ask questions, share what you are hoping to work on, and get a sense of my approach. Together, we will also consider whether this feels like a good fit, since feeling comfortable with your therapist is an important part of the therapy process. My goal is to create a supportive and collaborative space where you feel heard and understood from the very beginning.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strength is my ability to connect with clients from diverse backgrounds while providing practical, evidence-based care tailored to their needs. My clinical experience in both outpatient and inpatient settings allows me to support a wide range of concerns, from mild stress and life transitions to more complex anxiety, depression, and trauma-related issues. I integrate CBT, DBT, and mindfulness-based approaches with a strengths-based and holistic perspective to help clients build insight, improve coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change. I focus on helping clients not only reduce symptoms, but also improve daily functioning, confidence, and overall quality of life.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with adults and teens who are motivated for self-exploration, therapy, and meaningful personal growth. Many of the individuals I work with are high-functioning in their daily lives but may be struggling with anxiety, stress, overthinking, feeling overwhelmed, emotional disconnection, low self-esteem, or relationship challenges. Often, clients come to therapy feeling stuck in long-standing patterns that impact their relationships, emotional well-being, and overall life satisfaction. I enjoy supporting individuals who are motivated to gain insight, improve emotional awareness, and build practical coping skills for lasting change. My approach is collaborative, supportive, and grounded in helping clients increase self-awareness, strengthen emotional resilience, and live in greater alignment with their values, goals, and sense of fulfillment.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns and beliefs that impact emotions and behaviors. CBT is a structured, goal-oriented approach that supports clients in developing healthier thinking patterns and practical coping skills for managing anxiety, depression, stress, and other concerns.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Dialectical Behavior Therapy focuses on building skills in emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness. I incorporate DBT-informed strategies to help clients better manage intense emotions, improve relationships, and reduce impulsive or self-destructive behaviors.

Attachment-based

Attachment theory explores how early relational experiences influence current relationship patterns, emotional responses, and sense of self. I use an attachment-based lens to help clients understand relational dynamics, build secure connections, and heal from past attachment wounds in order to foster healthier relationships.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness work involves increasing awareness of the present moment with openness and without judgment. I integrate mindfulness practices to help clients reduce stress, improve emotional regulation, and develop a greater sense of clarity and grounding in daily life.
