I’m a therapist who creates a space where you can be fully seen, understood, and supported without pressure or pretense. As a Black woman of Jamaican descent, I bring cultural awareness, depth, and authenticity into my work. I partner with clients who are ready for meaningful change, helping them move from feeling stuck or overwhelmed to feeling more grounded, confident, and aligned in their lives.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is a thoughtful starting point where I take the time to understand you as a whole person—not just your concerns, but your experiences, patterns, and goals. We’ll explore what’s bringing you in, what you’ve been carrying, and what you want to shift. I create a space that feels both safe and intentional, while also beginning to identify clear, practical ways we can work together to support your growth.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My approach is both warm and strategic. I’m skilled at helping clients feel deeply understood while also guiding them toward real, lasting change. I integrate evidence-based methods with cultural sensitivity and intuition, allowing me to meet clients exactly where they are while still challenging them to grow. Clients often appreciate my ability to balance compassion with clarity, and to translate insight into tangible progress in their everyday lives.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I’m best suited for people who are truly ready for change. Not just talking about it, but actually doing the work that comes with it. If you want a therapist who is honest, direct, and transparent, and who will keep it real with you while still being supportive and respectful, we will likely be a great fit. I show up as a mix of accountability partner, co-pilot, and guide. I am going to help you connect the dots, recognize patterns that are keeping you stuck, and gently but firmly challenge you when needed. My goal is not just to help you feel better in the moment, but to help you move differently in your life in a way that creates lasting change. I tend to work best with people who are dealing with anxiety, life transitions, relationship patterns, or feeling overwhelmed and stuck in cycles they cannot seem to break. Many of my clients are insightful and self-aware, but need support with consistency, follow-through, and actually applying what they already know. If you are looking for therapy that is intentional, growth-focused, and leads to real, noticeable shifts in how you think, feel, and show up, I would love to work with you.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Together, we look at how your thoughts are shaping how you feel and move through the world, and I help you shift patterns that aren’t serving you into ones that actually support you.

Trauma Informed Care

I approach therapy with a strong understanding of how trauma shows up in everyday life. I’m always mindful of creating a space where you feel safe, respected, and in control, and we move at a pace that feels right for you. I am also trained in Trauma-Focused CBT.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

As someone who identifies as Black and West Indian , I naturally bring culture into the room. I understand how identity, family dynamics, and lived experiences shape us and make sure to weave that into our clinical process together.

Eclectic

I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. I pull from various evidence-based methods depending on client needs so therapy feels personalized, flexible, and actually helpful for your real life.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I weave mindfulness into our work in a way that feels natural, not forced. It’s less about being “perfectly calm” and more about helping you slow things down, notice feelings coming up for you, and feel a bit more grounded and in control moment to moment.
