My name is Jenita Blue, I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I have been fully licensed for 3 years, yet I come with over six years of experience providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care. My work is rooted in helping individuals and families navigate life’s challenges, build resilience, and find healing in a supportive, judgment-free environment. I have had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients, including those experiencing homelessness, children and adolescents facing emotional or behavioral difficulties, and couples seeking to strengthen their relationships. I utilize an eclectic approach- drawing from modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy, Psychodynamic, and trauma-informed care. The approaches used are designed to meet each client’s unique needs. I am also EMDR trained.

There are many great therapists. It’s important to identify the therapist that is right for you. I provide care with compassion; however, I hold my client accountable. Therapy is work. The real work is done outside of the therapy sessions.

I love helping people navigate through the challenges that life brings. Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive behavioral therapy is the foundational treatment modality that I use during sessions. This usually is related to identifying and addressing any core benefit that hinders progress of treatment. This treatment modality is evidence-based. This treatment modality is commonly used for treating anxiety.

Eclectic

An eclectic approach is used in almost every session. This approach helps address individual needs and is less structured than an individual treatment modality. This may be combined with CBT, psychodynamic, and solution-focused to help achieve goals.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

This treatment modality is usually applied when working with relationship issues, transitions, and stressors. This approach is usually short-term. Results can be rapid.
