New to Grow
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with master’s degrees in Counseling Psychology and Applied Behavior Analysis. I take an evidence-based, integrative approach to therapy, drawing from CBT, DBT, ACT, and EMDR to support clients navigating anxiety, stress, trauma, and other life challenges. I work with adolescents, young adults, and adults, including individuals with ADHD and autism, as well as those managing chronic pain or health conditions. Many of my clients are also navigating life transitions, relationship stress, emotional regulation challenges, or substance use concerns. My background allows me to combine practical, skill-based strategies with deeper emotional work, helping clients not only gain insight but also build tools they can use in everyday life. I focus on creating a collaborative, supportive space where meaningful, lasting change feels both achievable and sustainable.
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, so my goal in the first session is to help you feel comfortable, heard, and understood. We’ll begin by talking through what’s bringing you in, what you’ve been experiencing, and what you’re hoping to get out of therapy. There’s no pressure to share everything all at once—we go at your pace. I’ll ask some questions to get a better sense of your background, current challenges, and any patterns you’ve noticed. This helps me start to understand the full picture so we can tailor our work to what actually fits you. You’re also welcome to ask me questions at any point—about the process, my approach, or anything else on your mind. By the end of the session, we’ll start identifying initial goals and talk through what working together might look like. I may introduce a few practical tools or small strategies you can begin using right away, depending on your needs. Overall, you can expect a supportive, collaborative space where you don’t have to have everything figured out—we’ll work through it together.
One of my greatest strengths is my ability to balance empathy with practicality. I create a space where clients feel genuinely understood, while also helping them build real, usable skills that make a difference in their day-to-day lives. My approach is collaborative, flexible, and grounded in evidence-based care. I don’t take a one-size-fits-all approach—rather, I draw from modalities like CBT, DBT, ACT, and EMDR to tailor treatment to each client’s needs, goals, and personality. I’m especially focused on helping clients connect insight with action, so they’re not just processing their experiences, but also learning how to respond to them differently. Clients often tell me they appreciate how approachable and down-to-earth our work feels, while still being structured and goal-oriented. I also bring in my background in behavior analysis to help break patterns down in a clear, manageable way, which can be especially helpful for clients who feel stuck or overwhelmed. Ultimately, what stands out is my focus on helping clients create meaningful, lasting change—whether that’s improving emotional regulation, navigating relationships, or building a more balanced and fulfilling life.
My ideal client is ready to make steady progress and gain insight. In therapy, we’ll work to understand what’s going on, build practical coping skills, and work toward goals like feeling calmer, more confident, more grounded, and more in control of your life. I’m a good fit if you like a supportive, collaborative approach that’s also structured and evidence-based practices.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT in practice by helping clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns, replacing them with more balanced and realistic perspectives. Together, we will develop coping strategies and practice behavioral changes that support healthier emotions and improved daily functioning.
EMDR
I use EMDR in practice by guiding clients through bilateral stimulation while they process distressing memories in a safe and structured way. This helps reduce the emotional intensity of traumatic experiences and allows clients to form more adaptive beliefs about themselves and their past.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
DBT is used to teach clients skills in mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. These skills will help clients manage intense emotions, build healthier relationships, and create a more balanced and fulfilling life.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
ACT is used to help clients notice and accept difficult thoughts and feelings without letting them control their behavior. Together, we will focus on clarifying values and taking committed actions that move them toward a meaningful and fulfilling life.
