Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is the gold-standard of treatment for anxiety, depression, eating disorders, insomnia, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and other mental health issues. You and I will use CBT to look in a structured way at becoming mindfully aware of unhelpful ways of thinking and then reshape the negative or inaccurate thoughts.

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)

I have used Exposure and Response Prevention successfully for 2 decades and it has been a life-changing treatment for people suffering from Anxiety, OCD, Eating Disorders, and Traumas. People have developed habitual ways of dealing with distressing feelings of fear and anxiety when they arise. ERP is a behavioral therapy that safely and gradually exposes individuals to situations designed to provoke their obsessions in a safe and therapeutic environment. Exposure, immediately followed by response prevention, makes ERP a unique and highly effective treatment.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) encourages people to embrace their thoughts and feelings - rather than fighting them or feeling guilty for their thoughts and feelings.

Faith based therapy

In Faith-Based Therapy, I welcome our exploration of your values, and the role they might play in addressing the challenges you are going through. I work within deep rooted faith, help individuals bring their “whole self” into the therapy room, and help individuals develop coping strategies that make sense for their personal beliefs.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Self-regulation can be very difficult, especially when a history of invalidation and chaos set the stage for dysregulated emotions and responses. I have used DBT daily in my practice with individuals that come with a number of challenges (Bipolar, Borderline, Mood, Suicidal thoughts) and it is extremely effective on helping individuals regulate their emotions and changing their behavioral responses.
