Hi! I'm Ashley, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Kentucky. I received my Master's Degree from The University of Louisville and have been practicing for nearly 12 years. I love helping individuals who are struggling with depression, anxiety, grief, and difficult life transitions learn to cope in the midst of difficulty and find ways to move forward with hope.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
In our first session, we'll spend a little time getting to know each other, and then begin going over the challenges you are currently facing and would like to address. Together, we will create a plan that you are comfortable with to begin tackling the areas where you would like to see change. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling a little more hope than before, and with some actions you can take immediately to start experiencing relief.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
It's important to me that you feel welcomed, comfortable, and heard during our time together. I have found that these are among the most important predictors of a person feeling their time in therapy has been successful. Along those lines, I am also open to feedback from you. I want to know both what's working and what's not for you from the work we do together, so that I can be the best possible support for you.
Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.
I enjoy working with people who feel "stuck" and have difficulty enjoying life due to symptoms of depression or anxiety, or grief and other life transitions. If you would like to move through life with more peace, hope, and fulfillment, but feel like that is a pipe dream right now, I would love to help you begin working toward the life that you want to live.
