Greetings. I am a LCMHC based in North Carolina. In 2003, I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from University of North Carolina at Wilmington. I earned a Master of Arts degree in Counseling from Wake Forest University in 2018. My graduate program is accredited by the American Counseling Association’s Council for the Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP), the nationally recognized agency for counseling graduate program.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, this will be your chance to get to know me and my chance to get to know a little about you. It will be a conversation that is not one sided. I want you to feel empowered to express yourself and to ask questions so that you can develop some level of comfort. I will respect the fact that you don't know me yet to tell me everything so you will never be blindsided with difficult questions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My approach to counseling is based upon Person-Centered, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Cognitive-Behavioral theoretical principles. During session, I strive to maintain an environment that contains unconditional positive regard, empathy and will be genuine. I guide clients through the process of exploring feeling, thoughts and solutions. I will work with you to develop a plan not just for the moment but to carry into the future.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I am open to working with those who are ready to work or at least will to take the chance on trying to do the work. You will know that you are the right client for me if you ok with risk, conversation, homework, and commitment. I will commitment to showing up for you as long as you show up for yourself. For my parents, I am best positioned for those who are willing to participate in the process but also trust it. It can be hard to let another adult into the life of your child and in some ways into your home. You have to be open to it. You have to be willing to be develop trust much like your child if this team is going to work.
