Daibelis (DEE) Yerena
I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I've been doing this work for more than 10 years. I enjoy working with children, colleges students and adults! I hope to provide a safe space where you can feel comfortable being yourself.
A Safe Space to Grow, Heal, and Become Your Best Self.
I’m here to listen, talk with you, get to you know you and support you without judgement!
First session
Our first session is a chance to get to know each other and talk about what brings you to therapy. You can share at your own pace, and there’s no pressure to have everything figured out. My goal is for you to feel comfortable, heard, and supported from the start. Let's talk!!
Strengths
I work with my clients to understand what they want to change and what they hope to get out of therapy. We take things one step at a time, focusing on building coping skills, understanding emotions, and finding healthier ways to handle challenges. I want you to feel supported as you work toward your goals. I want my clients to feel comfortable talking to me about what they’re going through. I listen without judgment and try to create a space where you feel safe being open and honest. I offer support, understanding, and guidance while working together at a pace that feels comfortable for you. I like being genuine and authentic.
Ideal clients
My ideal client is someone who is open to understanding themselves better, exploring areas of their life they would like to change, and working toward personal growth. I work with my clients to understand what they want to change and what they hope to get out of therapy. We take things one step at a time, focusing on building coping skills, understanding emotions, improving relationships, and finding healthier ways to handle life's challenges. Whether you are experiencing anxiety, stress, emotional difficulties, or challenges in your relationships, I want you to feel heard, supported, and comfortable being yourself. You don't have to have everything figured out to begin therapy. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where we can work together toward meaningful and lasting change.
Origin story
I chose to become a therapist because of my own experiences growing up in a community where many children and young adults needed support but didn’t have access to therapy. Seeing this inspired me to be part of the change I wanted to see. I want to provide a safe space where people feel heard, understood, and supported, and help them know they don’
Ongoing work together
The ongoing work we do together is based on your goals, what you're hoping to achieve, and the changes you would like to see in your life. During our sessions, we will work together to identify challenges, explore your experiences, develop healthy coping skills, and build strategies to help you reach your goals. You will also complete weekly measurements to help us understand how you are doing, recognize improvements, and identify areas where you may need additional support. These measurements, along with our ongoing conversations, will help us track your progress, celebrate accomplishments, and make adjustments to treatment as needed. Progress may look different for everyone, and we will work together to recognize the positive changes you are making along the way.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) into my practice by helping clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we identify negative thought patterns, explore how these thoughts impact their emotional well-being, and work toward developing healthier perspectives and responses. I use CBT interventions to help clients challenge unhelpful beliefs, strengthen coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and develop practical strategies to manage everyday challenges. My approach is collaborative and individualized, allowing clients to work at their own pace while building self-awareness, confidence, and healthier ways of thinking and behaving.
