Hello, and welcome! Taking the first step to begin therapy can feel overwhelming, and I’m here to make the process a little easier. My name is Jazmin, and I’m a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). I work with adults feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or ready for a change. Maybe you’re not sure where to start, maybe your negative thought patterns are paralyzing you, or perhaps you’re needing a listening ear. Whatever struggles it may be, I aim to create a safe space where you can be your fullest self, while gently challenging you to grow.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session is all about getting to know you and what you’re seeking in therapy. Putting a framework is crucial to lead sessions with your goals in mind. I place emphasis on collaboration and creating a space for open conversations and reflection. Together, we will work on goals that matter to you, at a pace that feels right.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I understand that there's a plethora of therapists to choose from, and you may be wondering what makes me different? Firstly, I come from a stance of believing that you are the author of your life. I put in effort to fully understand where you are coming from, and hope to collaborate with you to bring fragment pieces together to find understanding, hope, empowerment, and fulfillment.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I serve adults who are going through anxiousness, doubt, change in life, overwhelming sadness, and hurt. If this is what you're going through, I'm honored to be a part of your healing journey. Change doesn't happen in stagnancy, but in discomfort. My hope is to provide building blocks to guide you through the discomfort, and widen your perspective to turn your negative thoughts and shift it into a growth mindset.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

The main component of CBT is understanding how our thoughts, emotions and actions intertwine with another. In session we will speak on your experiences and identify what negative thinking is contributing to the negative emotions. Furthermore, we will work on regulation tools and coping skills.
