Hello! I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in NJ and PA. I began practicing in community-based, outpatient, and hospital mental health sessions. I recently went back to school for Doctorate degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Eastern University, PA. I have experience practicing with teens, adults, and older adults to assist them in developing and finding healthy coping skills when dealing with stressors, including life transitions.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
I always start with an introductory session, where you will have the opportunity to share your story and what you hope to achieve in therapy. I try to create a welcoming environment that allows you to feel comfortable sharing and being vulnerable, while also feeling secure. We will work together in the sessions that follow to make the goals a reality for you.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
Staying curious, open, and learning about people and their beliefs have been my core values. I value dialectical relationships where clients and therapists can teach and develop foresight together, especially in celebrating diversity. As a second-generation Asian American, I understand the stress of acculturation and bicultural or multicultural identities, which can cause personal and social dilemmas.
Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.
I have a passion for working with teens, adults, and older adults especially who struggles with racial identities. I love to assist them in developing and finding healthy coping skills when dealing with stressors, including life transitions.
