Hello, I am Deboraha Johnson, a licensed professional counselor (LPC) with a Master of Science degree in Clinical Counseling and Psychology. I have several years of experience working with many populations and mental health concerns, including but not limited to, working with adult clients with depression, stress, anxiety, grief/loss, and chronic illness. My experience includes individual, couples, and group therapy in outpatient and virtual settings. I have twelve plus years of experience working with couples/relationship issues. I will work with you to develop treatment goals that are specific to your unique needs. My counseling style is eclectic, drawing on a variety of modalities to best serve a client’s needs and goals. The modalities that have demonstrated most useful are Client-Centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy. As a therapist, it is essential to build rapport by providing a safe environment through active listening, maintaining confidentiality, and using non-judgmental communication so clients can relax and feel free to express themselves.

Healing isn't linear, especially after losing my Mom. I'm thankful for a therapist who meets me with warmth and authenticity while also helping me move forward with practical tools and strength. She has truly been a blessing in this chapter of my life. She is very empowering.
