Julie Cain
You may be getting through work, family, and everyday responsibilities while privately feeling exhausted, anxious, disconnected, or unlike yourself.
I bring warmth and compassion to these conversations, but I’ll also be honest with you when I notice patterns that may be keeping you stuck.
Perhaps you’re adjusting to a chronic illness, struggling after a traumatic experience, grieving someone you love, facing infertility, or trying to navigate the emotional changes that can come during pregnancy or after having a baby. You might be the man who has always handled things on his own, or the person using alcohol or other substances to quiet thoughts that become harder to escape at night. I bring warmth and compassion to these conversations, but I’ll also be honest with you when I notice patterns that may be keeping you stuck. You won’t be judged for how you’ve coped or pressured to share more than you’re ready for. My goal is to give you a place where you can finally put down some of what you’ve been carrying and begin feeling more like yourself again.
First session
Our first session will be spent learning what you would like to learn work on and what your concerns are, we would focus on your expectations and goals of therapy and what it would look like for you to be successful with progress. I try to make clients feel comfortable when taking the big step in deciding on therapy!
Strengths
My greatest strength as a provider is meeting patients where they are. Therapy can be overwhelming and scary sometimes and my hopes is to make it as comfortable and less intimidating as possible. I follow a patient's pace, clarify your concerns, and work to goals as we go.
Ideal clients
Clients that may be wanting to work on specific goals but are wary or nervous to seek services. I enjoy making behavioral health fun. Folks that are interested in learning more about their mind and body and how to heal and recover would be best suited with me. I have special training in PSTD, anxiety, depression, and chronic pain. If you are wary of therapy or unsure on how it may be effective, I think we could be a good fit! Therapy is intimidating and I try my best not to add to that feeling.
