Katrina Motrinc
Hi, I’m Katrina! I’m a therapist, a mom of six, and a coffee lover who understands that life can be complicated, overwhelming, and sometimes just plain hard. I love working with women who are navigating relationships, anxiety, life transitions, or trying to figure out who they are and what they really want out of life.
Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or just need a place to sort through everything on your mind, we’ll work through it together, one step at a time.
My approach is warm, down-to-earth, and relational. I want you to feel comfortable enough to show up as your real self, without worrying about being judged or having to have all the answers. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or just need a place to sort through everything on your mind, we’ll work through it together, one step at a time.
First session
My goal is for you to leave our first session feeling comfortable, heard, and a little less alone in whatever you’re going through. We’ll spend time getting to know each other, talking about what brought you to therapy, and exploring what you hope to get out of it. There’s no pressure to have everything figured out or know exactly where to start. We’ll go at your pace, and you’ll have space to be honest about what’s been weighing on you. Most importantly, I want you to leave feeling like you’ve found someone you can connect with and that you don’t have to figure everything out on your own.
Strengths
I want therapy to feel less like an appointment and more like sitting down with a cup of coffee with someone who genuinely gets you. I’m very relational and believe that feeling comfortable, safe, and understood is where the real work begins. I bring warmth, humor, honesty, and a genuine curiosity about each person’s story. I’m not here to judge or tell you how to live your life. I’m here to listen, help you make sense of things, laugh with you when we can, and work through the hard stuff together. My goal is for you to feel like you can show up exactly as you are, without having to pretend you have it all figured out.
Ideal clients
My ideal clients are women ages 18–40 who may look like they have it all together on the outside but feel overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or unsure of themselves on the inside. They may be navigating relationship challenges, family dynamics, life transitions, people-pleasing, low self-esteem, or the pressure to meet everyone else’s expectations while trying to figure out what they need for themselves. They want to better understand themselves, build confidence, set boundaries, and feel more comfortable in their own skin. They’re looking for a therapist who feels approachable, genuine, and easy to talk to, where they can be honest about what’s really going on without fear of judgment. They want a real connection, a place to feel heard and understood, and support in making meaningful changes at their own pace.
Origin story
I knew back in high school that I wanted to be a therapist. I briefly considered teaching, but I think I was always more interested in what was going on in people’s heads than what was happening on the lesson plan! I’ve always loved connecting with people, hearing their stories, and helping them feel understood. I guess I’ve always been someone who wants to know the “why” behind what makes people tick. More than 20 years later, I still love what I do and feel lucky to help people of all ages navigate life’s messy, complicated, and sometimes really beautiful moments.
Ongoing work together
Therapy is a process, and we’ll figure it out together. Our sessions will be a mix of talking through what’s going on in your life, exploring patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and finding ways to handle life’s challenges that feel right for you. We might work on setting boundaries, building confidence, navigating relationships, managing anxiety, or making sense of why certain things affect you the way they do. Some sessions may feel heavy, others may bring clarity or a new perspective, and sometimes you may just need space to sort through everything on your mind. We’ll work at your pace, focus on what matters most to you, and make room for growth along the way. My goal is for you to feel more confident in yourself, more connected to what you need, and better equipped to handle whatever life brings your way.
Treatment methods
Supportive
My approach is centered on listening, offering support, and helping you make sense of what you’re experiencing without feeling judged or rushed to find a solution. Together, we’ll work through challenges, recognize your strengths, explore different perspectives, and find ways to navigate life that feel right for you. You don’t have to figure everything out on your own. My goal is to help you feel supported, build confidence in yourself, and feel more equipped to handle life’s ups and downs.
