Adeline Ong
For over 20 years, I have sat across from people carrying weight that most will never understand: the weight of service, sacrifice, survival, and the quiet battles that follow you home.
Whether you are dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, or simply feeling stuck, I believe you already have the capacity to grow.
Whether you are a service member navigating the pressures of military life, a veteran working through what you have been through, or a family member holding everything together behind the scenes, you deserve a space where your experience is genuinely understood. I specialize in helping the military and civilian community work through stress, trauma, relationship strain, and the moments when life feels harder than it should.
First session
Our first session is all about getting to know each other. I want to hear what brought you in, what you are hoping for, and what your life looks like right now. You will also get a feel for my style and whether we are a good fit. No pressure, just an honest conversation to lay the groundwork for something meaningful.
Strengths
Therapy with me is a partnership. We work together toward your goals, building resilience, developing real coping skills, and clearing the roadblocks standing between you and the life you want. I meet you where you are and guide the process based on what matters most to you. Whether you are dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, or simply feeling stuck, I believe you already have the capacity to grow.
Ideal clients
I enjoy working with clients who are ready and motivated to face the challenges in their lives and to change their thoughts and behaviors to live the most fulfilling life that they can. Client life experiences can range from trauma or abuse history, family or work difficulties or conflicts, to marital and relationship issues. Clients learn to become aware of and identify typical patterns of thoughts and behaviors that help or hinder their functioning and develop new strategies through therapy to better their functioning and life.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use an integrative approach and incorporate techniques and strategies from cognitive behavioral therapy, gestalt therapy, motivational interviewing, and socratic questioning. I primarily focus on how thoughts and behaviors drive a person’s reactions and functioning and helping the person to change their thoughts and behaviors to improve their depression or anxiety, relationships, and work situation.
