(she/her)
Hello! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas. I received my Masters of Counseling Education from Sam Houston State University back in 2004 and was Licensed in 2006. I have a long history of working with clients that have experienced trauma, loss, and are adapting to change. I like helping people define and work towards being their best self despite life's challenges.
In our first session is typically going over on what to expect in therapy, and get a good back ground history to talk about some goals the client would like to work on and how I could be helpful in the process. It is also a time to build rapport as I believe feeling safe and confident with your provider is a key ingredient to your success.
I am laid back, and show up authentically. I hope you feel safe to do the same.
I love working with people that are struggling with life. My clients are typically hungry for change, they just don't know where to start or what is holding them back. They often feel sad, overwhelmed and stuck.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I untiliez a number of different treatment methods throughout my practice as I find it best to meet the client where they are and help them from there. Sometimes a client needs to work through a traumatic event that keeps popping up in their day to day life. Sometimes people need to be heard and validated in their experience. Oftentimes people need to challenge the negative thoughts that plague them throughout the day. CBT has been a helpful method to work through past trauma as well as challenge the negative thoughts so that people can get back to thriving in life, instead of surviving in the moments.

She is very helpful in giving you tools and tactics that you can use that are easy to implement. She is so warm and inviting, and you feel like you're right next to her. I am so glad I found her!

Elizabeth has kept me sane throughout a really difficult phase of my life. She lets me bounce my thoughts off of her, which ends up calming me down, gives me new ways of trying to express my worries, helps me put things into perspective. I just love her!
