About me

My name is Anna, and I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) with approximately eight years of experience providing clinical services to children, adolescents, adults, and families. My clinical specialization includes complex trauma, PTSD, OCD, mood disorders, and other mental health concerns. Throughout my career, I have provided counseling services in both private practice and online settings, supporting individuals and families through a variety of life circumstances and challenges. I have a particular passion for treating OCD and PTSD and helping clients better understand their symptoms, develop effective coping strategies, and regain a sense of control and confidence in their lives. My professional passion is assisting clients in navigating difficult periods, fostering resilience, and working toward meaningful and sustainable personal growth. I have also developed a strong interest in supporting women during pregnancy and the postpartum period. As a mother myself, I bring personal insight, empathy, and understanding to the unique emotional and psychological experiences that can accompany this stage of life. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental therapeutic environment where each client feels heard, respected, and empowered. I value the opportunity to meet clients where they are, recognize their individual strengths, and support them throughout their journey toward healing and improved well-being.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session, we will begin with brief introductions and take time to discuss the concerns and challenges that have brought you to therapy. This initial conversation will allow me to better understand your individual needs, goals, and experiences. From there, we will collaboratively develop a personalized treatment approach to guide our work together in follow-up sessions. My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel comfortable sharing and working toward meaningful change.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT aims to help people improve their mental state by changing negative thought patterns and learning to solve problems in a more positive way. I have used this model with clients mostly as it is a common approach to various issues people face.

Trauma-Focused CBT

Trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) is a treatment model that helps children and adolescents who have experienced trauma and their caregivers. TF-CBT is based on cognitive behavioral, family, and humanistic principles, and uses a combination of techniques and interventions that are sensitive to trauma. I have 5 years working with this specialty and I am certified in this therapy model.

Multicultural

Multicultural is a therapeutic approach that considers the role of culture in a person's mental health and life events. When working with clients, the aim is to understand how cultural and identity issues affect a person and their relationship with counseling.

Gender-affirming therapy

Gender-affirming therapy is a therapeutic approach that helps children and young people with gender dysphoria develop their authentic gender identity. I have worked with young children and teens to ensure a safe space for them and family during transition period.

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)

ERP involves gradually exposing individuals to situations or stimuli that trigger their obsessions and compulsions while simultaneously preventing them from engaging in their usual rituals or avoidance behaviors. This process helps individuals learn that their feared outcomes are unlikely and that they can tolerate the anxiety associated with their triggers.
