What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
The first session will be different from future visits. The initial visit is a period for you and I to get to know each other and get an idea of how to proceed. Future visits will be more therapeutic in nature. For example, in your second session, we may explore a specific symptom, problem, or past trauma you mentioned in the first session.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
I rely on my values and strengths, two important concepts that can help lead a fulfilling life. Your values are your deepest held beliefs that reflect what’s most important in life. They form the foundation of your strengths, which are your natural talents in a well-developed form. I am a survivor, a lifelong learner, married for 20+ years, 2 children and thus recognize the challenges, disputes and trials that come with each person and their relationships.
Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.
There are many types of therapy available, and the best type of therapy for a client depends on their individual needs and preferences. Some people respond better to one type of therapy than another, so as a psychotherapist I will take things like the nature of the problem being treated and the person’s personality into account when determining which treatment will be most effective. I love working with a variety of people! Some motivating qualities including Motivated, ready to work, Open-minded, flexible, adaptable, Introspective, contemplative, curious about self, Verbal, communicative, and Honest.
