Ti'auna L Williams
I am the Founder and CEO of Inner You Counseling Services, LLC, and a Licensed Mental Health Therapist in the state of Indiana and Ohio with over 18 years of experience as a psychotherapist. I am passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges, heal from past experiences, and build healthier, more fulfilling lives. Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and trauma related to sexual abuse, neglect, and emotional abuse. I also specialize in working with adolescents and youth who have experienced sexual abuse or exhibited sexually maladaptive behaviors.
In addition, I specialize with working with adolescents/youth with sexually maladaptive behaviors and those that have been sexually abused.
I believe everyone deserves to be treated with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, without judgment or stigmatizing labels. My therapeutic approach integrates cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), client-centered therapy, strength-based techniques, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and motivational interviewing to develop personalized treatment plans that honor each client's unique needs. My therapy style is warm, supportive, and interactive. I strive to create a safe space where you feel empowered to explore your emotions, overcome challenges, and recognize your strengths. I understand that seeking therapy takes courage, and I am committed to walking alongside you throughout your journey toward healing, growth, and emotional wellness. You are more than your experiences, and your past does not define your future. **Let’s discover the uniqueness in you.**
First session
In our first session we will start with brief introductions. I will ask what brought you to therapy and if you have ever had therapy before. We will start working on the rapport building process.
Strengths
Some of my biggest strengths are that I have good interpersonal skills, trustworthy, flexible, hopeful/optimistic, culturally sensitive, non judgmental and self-aware. I provide a safe and comfortable environment that allows people to be open and honest.
Ideal clients
My ideal clients are individuals who are ready to explore their emotions, overcome challenges, and create meaningful change in their lives. Although I specialize in working with youth and adolescents who struggle with sexually maladaptive behaviors and those who have experienced sexual abuse, I have extensive experience supporting individuals across a wide range of ages, from 9 to 55 years old. I work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, emotional and behavioral challenges, and difficulties navigating life transitions. I understand that every individual has a unique story, and I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable being vulnerable and exploring their experiences. Whether you are a young person learning to manage emotions and behaviors, an adolescent navigating difficult experiences, or an adult seeking healing and personal growth, I am committed to helping you recognize your strengths, develop healthy coping strategies, and discover the uniqueness within yourself.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as a foundational approach to help clients better understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. Many of the individuals I work with are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, or self-esteem issues—and CBT provides practical tools that support real, lasting change.
EMDR
I use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) as a powerful, evidence-based approach to help clients heal from trauma, distressing experiences, and deeply rooted negative beliefs. Many of the individuals I support are carrying emotional pain from the past that still shows up in their daily lives—through anxiety, self-doubt, emotional triggers, or feeling “stuck.” EMDR helps shift those experiences in a meaningful and lasting way.
