What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
In our first session, I will orient you to the therapy process. We will work together to conceptualize presenting issues and discuss your story. I will review any questions you may have and review important points and policies, including confidentiality and limits to confidentiality. I will engage with you to assess for safety and safety plan. We will collaboratively develop a treatment plan and schedule ongoing sessions.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
My greatest strength is my ability to connect with and support people with diverse background and various presenting problems. I am supportive yet direct and willing to work with you to set goals and develop plans to address them.
Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.
Seeking help implies vulnerability. Engaging in therapy is a difficult step toward addressing ongoing internal conflicts, distressing thoughts and emotions and relationship issues. I understand the hesitation to seek help and the benefits of doing so. Anyone seeking treatment needs to feel supported by and safe with the person they are turning to for assistance. My work is focused on initiating and strengthening a strong therapeutic alliance to support client's needs, and, in turn, being a steadfast and warm presence. I have a breadth of experience treating all manner of psychiatric illnesses and am ready and able to provide support through life's challenges.
