(he/him)
Hello, my name is David and I provide counseling services to a variety of age groups, but I specifically provide services to adolescents, adults, and the elderly. I strive to provide individuals, couples and families with the skills to not only cope with their mental health challenges, but also empower them to create their own paths in life. I am a person-centered clinician that seeks to fully understand my client’s needs and goals. I have completed additional training to help me provide the best possible counseling in areas that focus on behavioral issues, and working with couples. I also have a degree in special education and taught for nine years, and most of those years were spent working with students that had emotional needs. My counseling approach is holistic, meaning that my goal is to help you learn more about yourself and build off of where you are.
With our first session we will get to know each other and and make sure that I have a complete understanding of what is going on in your world and how you want therapy to help you.
With my background in special education I truly love to help guide people, and help them understand where they are in their journey.
I have a wide range of experience working mostly with mood disorders, depression, anxiety and ADHD in young adults.
As a previous special education teacher working with behaviors and gaining insight into them is one of the areas I love. I have done trainings to gain and fine tune these skills as well as a therapist.
When it comes to couples counseling one of the key aspects I focus on is communication, I tie in behavioral therapy as well.
You are the expert on you, and you know what bring you to therapy. I am here to help you change.
I think there is no one way to eat practice therapy and I love to bring multiple different view points into each session.
You are the expect on your life, and with having an approach from multiple frameworks I can help you become the best version of yourself.
