New to Grow
Welcome in! I really appreciate you being here today. Life can get overwhelming—sometimes even unmanageable—so I want to congratulate you on taking this step and crossing one more thing off your list. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with years of experience providing compassionate, client-centered therapy. I use talk therapy and CBT as my primary modalities. I also integrate a strengths-based approach and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. I specialize in supporting individuals facing anxiety, stress, depression, self-esteem challenges, poor coping skills, and self-harming behaviors. I also have experience in crisis intervention, helping people through moments of acute distress. My approach is always trauma-informed and culturally responsive, facilitating a safe space where we can work together to build resilience, empowerment, and lasting change. And if you’re not sure what your circumstances are, or if you’re feeling unsure where to start, that’s okay. You don’t have to have all the answers—we can figure it out together. If it matters to you, it matters to me. Let’s talk about it.
During our first therapy appointment, you can expect a warm, welcoming environment where we’ll get to know each other. I’ll ask you some questions about your current concerns, goals, and what brought you to therapy, including past therapy experiences. This is a chance for you to share at your own pace, and for us to build trust and a plan moving forward. There’s no pressure—just a space for you to be heard and understood.
My strengths lie in building genuine, trusting relationships with my clients. I’m skilled at creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where people feel heard and understood. I draw on evidence-based approaches like CBT and trauma-informed care, and I’m adaptable, meeting each person where they are to help them build resilience and lasting growth.
One of the benefits of working in this profession is that I have the privilege of collaborating with a wide and diverse range of clients. I welcome individuals of all cultures, ethnicities, gender identities, and life experiences. This is a nonjudgmental and unbiased space where you can say the hard things out loud—things you might not feel comfortable sharing elsewhere. I’m dedicated to creating a safe, inclusive environment where you feel fully seen, heard, and supported as we work together toward your goals.
Other specialties
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I’ve been using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, or CBT, in my work because it’s a really effective, evidence-based approach. I help clients identify and reshape negative thought patterns and behaviors. Through this collaborative process, we work together to reframe how they see things, build healthier coping strategies, and apply practical tools to manage anxiety, depression, and other challenges. It’s a flexible, hands-on approach, and I’ve seen it create real, lasting change for many people.
Strength-Based
Over the years, I’ve seen how powerful a strengths-based approach can be in therapy. In this approach, we focus on identifying and building from a client’s existing strengths, skills, and resources. I’ve watched this help people develop confidence and resilience. Time and time again, I’ve seen how, by focusing on what’s already strong, clients gain a sense of possibility, stay motivated, and take meaningful steps toward their goals.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
I often use Solution-Focused Brief Treatment in my work. It’s a short-term, goal-directed therapy that really centers on finding solutions instead of getting stuck on the problems. In this approach, we identify your strengths and resources, and we focus on specific, achievable steps you can take to reach your goals. It’s practical, future-focused, and really helps when you’re looking for results in a shorter timeframe.
