Hi! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 9 years of experience helping individuals navigate life’s challenges, improve their emotional well-being, and create meaningful change.

I'm not afraid to offer honest feedback or gently challenge you when needed, but I believe how and when those conversations happen should always reflect the trust we've built and your individual needs.

As your therapist, my goal is to provide a warm, safe, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard, supported, and empowered to express your thoughts, feelings, and needs openly. I believe therapy is a collaborative process that fosters greater self-awareness, self-compassion, and confidence, helping you better understand yourself, strengthen your relationships, and navigate life with greater clarity and resilience. My approach is compassionate and individualized, recognizing that everyone’s experiences, challenges, and goals are unique.

First session

If you're new to therapy, it's completely normal to feel a little nervous or unsure of what to expect. You don't need to come prepared with the perfect words or even know exactly what you want to work on. Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other, talk about what's been going on in your life, and begin identifying what you'd like to get out of therapy. I take a relaxed, conversational approach and want our sessions to feel like a safe space where you can be yourself without fear of judgment. There's no pressure to share everything right away. We'll build trust, find what works best for you, and navigate the process together.

Strengths

My approach to therapy is warm, genuine, and collaborative, but I also believe that growth sometimes requires stepping outside of your comfort zone. I strive to create a space where you feel comfortable being yourself, while also encouraging you to explore patterns, challenge perspectives, and recognize areas for growth. I'm not afraid to offer honest feedback or gently challenge you when needed, but I believe how and when those conversations happen should always reflect the trust we've built and your individual needs. I balance empathy and understanding with practical strategies, humor when appropriate, and a little tough love when it's helpful. My goal is for therapy to feel like a genuine conversation where you feel supported, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes in your life.

Ideal clients

Maybe you're someone who tends to overthink everything, struggles to set boundaries, or finds yourself repeating the same patterns in relationships. You might feel overwhelmed by expectations, disconnected from yourself, or frustrated because you know something needs to change but aren't sure where to start. Maybe you're used to being the person everyone else relies on, but you're not quite sure how to prioritize your own needs. Whatever brings you to therapy, you don't need to have all the answers. Together, we'll work toward understanding what's keeping you stuck, building confidence in yourself, and making changes that feel meaningful and sustainable.

Ongoing work together

Progress in therapy isn't always a straight line, and sometimes the smallest changes make the biggest difference. You might notice yourself setting healthier boundaries, responding instead of reacting, feeling more confident in your decisions, or handling situations that once felt overwhelming. We'll regularly check in on your goals, celebrate your wins (even the small ones!), and talk openly about what's working and what might need to change. Ultimately, I want you to feel more confident, self-aware, and equipped to navigate life's challenges, both inside and outside of therapy.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help you recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence one another, especially when certain patterns leave you feeling stuck. Together, we'll identify unhelpful thinking patterns, challenge beliefs that may no longer be serving you, and explore healthier ways to respond to life's challenges. My approach is supportive but also encourages you to step outside your comfort zone when needed. The goal isn't just to understand your patterns, but to give you practical tools to create meaningful, lasting changes in your everyday life.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I use DBT to help you better understand your emotions, manage overwhelming situations, and build healthier relationships with yourself and others. Together, we'll work on practical skills to help you regulate emotions, tolerate distress, set boundaries, and communicate your needs more effectively. My approach is supportive and validating, but I'll also encourage you to recognize patterns, take accountability, and challenge yourself when needed. The goal isn't to eliminate difficult emotions, but to help you feel more confident and in control of how you respond to them.
