Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience providing care to a wide range of clients, but my focus has been working with people finding their way through grief and loss. While grief is a universally human experience, most of us don't talk or share much about it, much less how to live through it. No one is meant to grieve alone, and it is my privilege to join others on this path.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

When we meet, you can expect to be greeted warmly and professionally, and we will spend much of the time getting to know one another. I love to listen and immerse myself in their stories, to get to know what is important to other and what they might hope to achieve in counseling. I can answer any questions you might have about me and what specific approaches we can use to meet your goals. Our focus won't be on trying to "fix" you, but on helping you grow into your best future while still honoring your past.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

In addition to all of the practical skills and techniques that are honed through years of clinical experience, I have an endless curiosity for people's histories, hopes and dreams. I bring an open, playful and nonjudgmental style to my sessions, and I strive to create an environment that fosters learning and insight, as well as comfort.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

Since anyone old enough to love is old enough to grieve, I've worked with a variety of clients - children as young as six, up to adults in their 80s and beyond - who come from all kinds of families, communities, and backgrounds. I'd love to connect with clients who have experienced the loss of someone or something dear - a family member, a friend, a pet, or even a significant relationship or role - and are struggling to cope with the endless and overwhelming feelings and changes that come with it. Perhaps they've been told they need to "get over it" or "focus on the good times," and wonder why that doesn't seem to help. Maybe they find themselves questioning their beliefs or their hopes for the future in ways they never did before. They might wonder why they continue to hurt when everyone else seems to be moving on. For those wondering how to move forward in life when everything seems broken, who want to feel better but aren't sure where to start, I am happy to help provide the tools and support to honor their grief experience while moving toward the future with hope.
