Denise Wray
Hello, my name is Denise Wray, and I bring over 30 years of rich experience as a counselor, consultant, and facilitator. Following my military service, I embarked on a journey in child and adolescent counseling and parent education.
After my military service I began my practice doing child and adolescent counseling and parent education.
My passion for guiding relationships led me to become licensed in couples counseling and to expand into family therapy, later earning certification in addictions. Over the years, I have had the privilege of supporting individuals, couples, families, groups, and entire communities in their growth and healing.
First session
During the first session, I want to put the client at ease and share who I am and how the clinical process works.
Strengths
I provide individualized therapeutic strategies tailored to each client’s specific needs, ensuring a personalized and effective approach.
Ideal clients
My ideal client is anyone who wants to work on having a better life. The ideal client is willing to commit to the wholistic therapy process. The ideal client demonstrates a desire to change and therefore is trusting the clinical experience. The ideal client is brave enough to share at their level of comfortability especially when difficult topics present themselves.
Origin story
I was inspired to become a therapist by a desire to support others through challenging times and help them discover their own strengths and resilience. I also wanted to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and supported as they work toward personal growth and emotional well-being.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have used this method for over 25 years with a high degree of success.
