I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor based in North Dakota. I have a Master's Degree in Counseling and a specialty in Addiction. I have worked with Veterans for the past eighteen years and have a deep passion and respect for individuals and families that have served our country. I am most familiar with issues such as anxiety, depression, anger, addiction, insomnia, PTSD, GLBTQ+, relationship and communication issues, and lifestyle changes.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our time together, you will be met with unconditional positive regard. You are the one in charge of the process and I am there to help you in a way that works best for you. We will address your concerns by having a focus each session. We will check in often to ensure you are getting what you need. If you want clear goals with structured assignments or objectives, you got it. If you'd rather pick a point to discuss and go from there, that is great too. Do you feel like you took one step forward and two steps back? That's okay too. Let's talk about it.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I deeply respect each person's journey. I am calm, empathic, and non judgmental. It is my goal to help you feel comfortable and supported. I may provide feedback that challenges you, makes you laugh or cry, and puts things into perspective.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love working with people that have found the courage to start their personal journey in therapy. They may not know the exact steps to take, but it's a start. If you are feeling anxious, angry, overwhelmed - we can do this! One step at a time.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I incorporate different treatment modalities based upon each specific person. I tend to gravitate towards CBT, which involves exploring the relationship between our thoughts, feelings, and actions. I am able to use a variety of modalities including person-centered, strength-based.
