Hello! My name is Wendy and would like to meet you. Are you struggling with grief and loss? Are you caring for an older adult in your life, or have a chronically ill family member, and don't know where to turn? Are you an older adult yourself, and looking for someone who might understand what you are going through? Do you struggle with infertility issues? Does Huntington's Disease affect your family? Do you feel your eating behaviors are out of control, or struggle with weight issues? Do you just need some extra support at this time, due to life's stressors? I have lots of experience helping people overcome difficult times and am a great listener. I went to school at Salem State University, for both undergraduate and graduate studies. My concentration was on Older Adult studies. I have worked as a Director of Social Services in several long-term care facilities and Adult Day Health Centers. I have over 17 yrs of experience as a Hospice Social Worker. I also have many years of experience working with families affected by Huntington's Disease, and running support groups for these families. More recently, I have experience and passion for helping fight the war on Obesity. I have experience providing Bariatric Assessments for Bariatric surgery and have counseled people who are struggling with eating disorders, obesity, and self-esteem issues. If you can identify with any of these issues or are struggling with your next steps, I would love the opportunity to meet and counsel with you. Let's do this journey together!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, I will take the time to get to know you. I will ask lots of background questions, and you should feel free to ask me questions as well. I will want to know what brings you to therapy and what I can currently help you with.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am compassionate and empathetic, as well as a great listener. Helping people solve their problems, and working with strengths, is what I do best! I am a member of the Obesity Medicine Association and the National Association of Social Workers.
