I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Mental Health Service Provider designation (#5076), and hold a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lipscomb University. As a member of the American Counseling Association, the Tennessee Counseling Association, and the Nashville Psychotherapy Institute, I am dedicated to making the human experience both constructive and meaningful for my clients by creating a warm therapeutic environment in which they can experience growth, empowerment, and support.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we will begin with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges that are bringing you to counseling at this time. This will help us create a tailored plan to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having over 6 years of experience with clinical focuses of trauma, sexuality and gender affirming care, and working with young people (4-18), I am uniquely equipped to aid clients in returning to themselves and living a full, rich life.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I have training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), EMDR for Children, Play Therapy, Brainspotting, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Assessing and Managing Suicide Risk (AMSR). I incorporate multiple modalities of treatment into my practice to give each client a unique experience that meets their specific needs. My hope is to join my clients in achieving meaningful and deep healing, identifying resources for continued growth, and developing secure attachments in their relationships. I am passionate about working with individuals and families of all ages who are processing through life transitions, identity, relationship issues, trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, and depression.

My treatment methods

EMDR

I am level 1 and 2 EMDR trained and utilize this treatment method to aid clients in reprocessing and reclaiming power from traumatic experiences.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a helpful tool in aiding clients in returning to their true Self and to integrate all of the "parts" of us that can sometimes feel conflictual.

Play Therapy

Play Therapy is a powerful and unmatched technique to aid clients of all ages in expressing their internal struggles through the language of play.

Gender-affirming therapy

Transgender and nonbinary folx face all kinds of headwinds and having a safe space to process their needs and concerns should not be one of them. I am committed to providing gender-affirming care to all clients.

Attachment-based

The most important relationship you have is the one with yourself, and the ways in which we show up in relationship with others is dependent upon our relationship with ourselves. By keeping our attachment and attunement needs at the forefront of the work, the results of therapy will be more sustainable.
