I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in the Metro-Atlanta Area that has a passion for aiding mothers, families, millennials, and minorities on their wellness journey.

The great news is, it may not feel like it at the moment, but you already have everything you need to succeed. Let’s work together to break down the barriers that are stopping you from living a more fulfilled life.

First session

Our first session allows us to get to know each other in a safe and relaxed space. Therapist will share the process, treatment options, expectations regarding therapy, and outcomes based on client's goals. Therapist will gain insight regarding client's history and challenges. Client will be able to ask additional questions about the process and we will decide on a path forward regarding techniques to achieve goals for therapy.

Strengths

With 10 years of experience working as a mental health counselor, I have worked with clients who are navigating depression, anxiety, relationship issues, PTSD, and trauma. My counseling style is motivational, compassionate, and interactive. I treat everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I believe people can heal from their pasts and I do not judge anyone. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral therapy, client-centered, trauma-focused therapy using EMDR, and Neurofeedback. You have taken the first step towards healing. I will be here to support and empower you on this journey. I look forward to meeting you soon.

Origin story

Connecting with others has always come naturally and people reported feeling very comfortable talking with me. When aiding my father through his transition, he and others, encouraged me to continue my education and become a professional therapist. While studying in school, psychology and how the brain works began to fascinate me. In grad school, I realized the far reaching impact of trauma; therefore, effectively measuring results became a driving force for my specialized focus. After studying various methods, EMDR, neurofeedback, and CBT became my top choices because the results were incredibly effective. After practicing for over a decade and treating thousands of patients, not everyone responds the same to all treatments, so even though I use those methods a lot, we have other evidence-based options of treatment; the client and I work together to make sure the client feels confident about the most appropriate method to address their need.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT techniques have been utilized to improve self-esteem, reframe thinking, thought blocking, identify triggers, identify distorted thoughts, and adjust negative behavior patterns.

EMDR

Trained in EMDR, I have successfully utilized this method since 2017 to help client reconcile traumatic events including emotional trauma, physical trauma, sexual trauma, relationship trauma, and childhood trauma.

Neurofeedback

Neurofeedback has helped clients manage ADHD, anxiety, depression, OCD, low self-esteem, anger issues, Cluster C personality challenges, relationship issues, and those with impulse control issues by utilizing infra-low frequencies.

She's a great therapist. We talk about many different topics and she handles all of them with a breeze.

She helps me clarify the process as I am healing from trauma. When I understand, I can progress, grow and take risks. Sometime hearing someone say: "This is part of the process, keep going" makes a big difference. I'm not just coping with the suffering anymore, I am healing and walking towards thriving.
