Hi. I am Denise DeBrady, LCSW. I graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Master's degree in Social Work. I am an experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor. I work with clients of all ages, and using a warm, safe environment, assist my clients to identify their strengths, goals, and abilities to cope with and overcome their symptoms and discomforts.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we will introduce ourselves and discuss what has brought you here. We will also talk about the goals you would like to focus on and how we will achieve them.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strength is engaging with my client and being able to provide the safety and insight you need to identify subversive patterns of thought and behavior and move toward a more functional, confident approach to life.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I look forward to navigating life transitions as well as the overall quest for clarity and self-awareness. I specialize in helping clients cope with and overcome symptoms that are interrupting their daily lives. I utilize a strengths-based and person-centered approach to treatment recognizing that each individual has resources within themselves which, when fostered, will help them meet their treatment goals. I believe in the importance of a therapeutic relationship and work closely with my clients to help them feel empowered to make changes in their lives. My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I’ve been using CBT in my practice for the past fifteen years. It’s helped dozens of clients challenge negative thoughts and better manage their anxiety. We’ll use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We’ll then use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a less anxious and stressed life.
