Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC)in North Carolina, Nevada and South Carolina with over 20 years of counseling experience. I am also a Nationally Certified Counselor and Accredited Disability Representative. I work with clients with a variety of concerns to include anxiety, bipolar, depression, self-esteem, life transition issues, chronic pain, and disability.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we will start with brief introductions, review of required documents to begin services before diving into the specific challenges you are dealing with and/or facing. This approach allows for the flexibility to tailor a treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs and goals.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Together, we will identify solutions and resources to inspire, motivate and empower you through your growth challenges to achieve the outcomes and results you want. I believe that you are your best expert in your life. I will provide you with guidance in identifying patterns, choices and consequences to accomplish goals for a more satisfying and authentic life. It takes strength, integrity and courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life supported by dreams and goals. Taking the first step toward change can be both frightening and rewarding. I will be with you every step of the transformational journey and help you with the tools to develop a "stick and stay" attitude toward your progress.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

Do you often ask yourself, "why do I keep ending up in the same place?" "I feel overwhelmed or confused?" The voice in your head is relentless with the swirling negative messages and thoughts. "I am not good enough!". "I am such a failure". "I don't get nothing right". You spend your time trying to please everyone else by not letting them down, however, it is still not enough. You have done all that you know and you still feel that nothing that you do makes a difference. Hopeless thinking. You feel broken without a sense of direction. You feel confused. Limited inclusion and interaction with family and friends. You feel what is the use in trying because nothing will change. Is this you? I work with adults who want help to feel more in control, inspired, motivated, and empowered to find enjoyment in living from their authentic self. My experience includes working with clients with a variety of concerns such as anxiety, bipolar, depression, self-esteem, life transition issues, chronic pain, and disability. This is a transformational journey fueled by strength, integrity and courage.
