I would describe myself as compassionate, genuine, and down-to-earth. I believe therapy should be a safe space where you can show up as you are, talk openly without judgment, and feel supported while working toward meaningful change. My approach is collaborative and holistic. I believe that understanding where your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors come from can help you better understand yourself and create lasting change. I integrate approaches such as CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and psychodynamic and attachment-based work to help clients manage anxiety and stress, improve self-esteem, navigate relationships and life transitions, establish healthy boundaries, and develop healthier ways of coping.

First session

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin understanding what brought you to therapy. We will talk about your current concerns, what you would like to work on, and what you hope to gain from the therapeutic process. I also want you to have the opportunity to ask questions and get a sense of whether we are a good fit.

Strengths

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to create a warm, genuine, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves. I bring empathy and compassion to each session while also being honest and intentional about helping clients recognize patterns, gain insight, and make meaningful changes. I meet clients where they are and tailor my approach to their individual needs rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.

Ideal clients

My ideal client is an adult who may be struggling with anxiety, stress, self-esteem, relationship concerns, life transitions, or difficulty navigating the demands of everyday life. They may appear to have things together on the outside while internally feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, uncertain, or stuck in patterns of overthinking and self-doubt. They are interested in understanding themselves on a deeper level and want more than simply managing their symptoms—they want to create meaningful and lasting change in their lives.

Origin story

What inspired me to become a therapist was witnessing people in my community struggle with their mental health while growing up. Seeing the impact that emotional and mental health challenges can have on a person’s life inspired me to pursue a career where I could support others and help create meaningful change. I wanted to be someone who could provide understanding, guidance, and a safe space for people to work through their challenges and improve their overall quality of life.

Ongoing work together

Ongoing therapy is a collaborative process that builds over time. As we continue working together, we will explore patterns in your thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationships while developing practical strategies to help you navigate challenges outside of the therapy room. Depending on your goals, this may include working on anxiety and stress management, self-esteem, boundaries, communication, relationships, emotional regulation, or navigating life transitions.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help clients recognize the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we identify unhelpful thinking patterns, challenge thoughts that may be contributing to anxiety, depression, or low self-esteem, and develop healthier and more balanced ways of responding to life’s challenges. Clients learn practical strategies they can use both during and between sessions.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I incorporate DBT skills to help clients strengthen emotional regulation, distress tolerance, communication, and interpersonal effectiveness. We focus on helping clients understand and manage intense emotions without feeling overwhelmed or reacting in ways that may not serve them. DBT provides practical tools that clients can use to navigate stressful situations, relationships, and difficult emotions more effectively.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I use mindfulness to help clients become more aware of their thoughts, emotions, physical sensations, and behaviors without immediately judging or reacting to them. Through grounding, breathing, and present-moment awareness, clients can learn to slow down, reduce emotional reactivity, and respond to situations with greater intention. Mindfulness can also support greater self-awareness, emotional balance, and connection between the mind and body.
