I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for over 20 years. I received my Bachelors in Psychology from the University of Florida and my Masters in Social Work from the University of South Florida. I have been practicing for over 20 years. From counseling to managing employee assistance mental health programming to crisis intervention in natural disasters and more, I have worked with a variety of Clients. I have read extensively on mindfulness and body centered modalities as well. I currently see Clients in Florida and Utah. I love working with Adults and Seniors who struggle with anxiety and stress. My Clients usually feel like they are missing out on life due to worries and this often leads to sadness. They are usually busy people who say that they don't have time or money for self care.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we will meet and you will tell me why you signed up for Therapy. I will also ask you several questions so that I can get to you know you better. We will create a treatment plan together that is based on your goals. Most Clients finish their first sessions feeling very empowered and excited.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have been told by Clients that my sessions are comforting and uplifting. By merging creativity, nature and mindfulness, my approach has enabled many Clients to enjoy their therapeutic tune-ups!

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is a classic treatment approach that I have seen great effectiveness with for many years. It addresses how your thoughts and feelings impact your behaviors. I love digging around my Clients' brains, helping them rearrange things and then watching their lives improve.

Mind-body approach

Sometimes focusing on the mind is not enough. I have also seen much success with teaching my Clients somatic techniques that help locate feelings in the body and address them there as well.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Many people habitually agonize over the past and/or worry about the future. Utilizing mindfulness techniques (such as breathing or grounding strategies) helps you reclaim your power in the only place where you actually have it- the present moment.
