As a therapist, I bring warmth, empathy, curiosity, and a genuine interest in understanding each person's unique journey. Everyone has a story that deserves to be heard, understood, and respected without judgment or assumptions. Authentic human connection is at the heart of my approach, and meaningful change begins when we feel safe enough to be open, vulnerable, and truly ourselves. Above all, creating a space where clients feel seen, heard, accepted, and supported is essential. Therapy is not about changing who you are, but about developing a deeper understanding of yourself, recognizing your strengths and potential, and discovering new ways to navigate life's challenges. My hope is that through this process, clients feel empowered to embrace who they are and create a life that feels more authentic, balanced, and fulfilling.

First session

You don't have to leave your first session with all the answers. My hope is that you leave feeling a little lighter, knowing you have found a safe space where you can be yourself and speak openly without fear of judgment. Starting therapy can feel intimidating, and you don't need to have everything figured out or even know exactly where to begin. Sometimes, simply feeling heard, understood, and genuinely supported can bring a sense of relief. Most importantly, I hope you leave feeling comfortable, accepted, and encouraged, with a sense that we can work together to better understand what brought you here and where you'd like to go. You may not have all the answers yet, but hopefully you'll leave with a little more clarity, a sense of connection, and the reassurance that you don't have to navigate life's challenges alone.

Strengths

Therapy should feel like a place where you can truly be yourself. My style is warm, down-to-earth, and conversational. Getting to know the person behind the struggles, rather than focusing only on the problems that bring someone to therapy, is at the heart of my approach. With genuine curiosity and life experience, I recognize how our past experiences shape the way we think, feel, and relate to others. Through careful listening, thoughtful questions, and new perspectives, sessions offer an opportunity to see things differently. At times, this also means gently challenging old beliefs, recognizing patterns, and exploring new ways of approaching situations. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. Everyone brings a unique history, perspective, and set of strengths. My goal is to meet you where you are, work alongside you, and help you find practical ways to create meaningful change. Most importantly, you should leave sessions feeling heard, understood, and encouraged, with a little more clarity, confidence, and hope than when you arrived.

Ideal clients

My ideal clients are those who sense that something in their lives could be better, even if they aren't quite sure what that looks like yet. They may want to understand why they respond to certain situations the way they do, recognize patterns in their relationships, build confidence, establish healthier boundaries, or learn to prioritize their own needs. Whether navigating a difficult life transition, relationship challenges, anxiety, self-doubt, or simply wanting more out of life, therapy offers an opportunity to pause, reflect, and explore new possibilities. You don't need to have all the answers or know exactly where to start. Just being open to understanding yourself and considering new ways forward is a meaningful first step. If something here resonates with you, I invite you to reach out. Let's start a conversation about where you are, where you'd like to be, and how therapy might help you get there. You deserve the opportunity to feel more connected, confident, and fulfilled in your life.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

My approach also draws from several therapeutic modalities, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, and Emotionally Focused Therapy. Rather than following one specific approach, I draw from different techniques based on what may be most helpful for you and what you're bringing into each session. Therapy is a fluid and collaborative process. The focus may shift depending on what's happening in your life, how you're feeling, and what you need at that moment. While the techniques may change, the support, understanding, and genuine connection remain constant. Ultimately, the goal is to find what works best for you, helping you gain greater self-understanding, develop practical tools, and create meaningful changes in your life.
