My name is Rhiannon G. Griggs, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor dedicated to supporting individuals and families in navigating life’s challenges. I specialize in trauma-informed care and cognitive-behavioral therapy, with a focus on helping clients build resilience, enhance emotional well-being, and strengthen their relationships. My goal is to provide a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where you can heal, grow, and thrive.
Your first session is a welcoming and supportive space designed to help you feel comfortable and understood. We will begin by getting to know one another, discussing what brings you to counseling, and exploring any concerns, goals, or challenges you would like to address. You can share as much or as little as you feel ready to—there is no pressure. I will also review important information such as confidentiality, your rights as a client, and how the counseling process works. Together, we will begin identifying your goals and discuss how we can work collaboratively to support your healing and growth. My goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard, respected, and supported from the very start.
One of my greatest strengths is my ability to create a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel truly seen and heard. I take a collaborative and client-centered approach, meeting you where you are while gently guiding you toward growth and healing. I integrate evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and trauma-informed care, while also honoring the whole person—mind, body, and, when desired, faith. I am especially skilled in helping clients navigate trauma, relationship challenges, emotional regulation, and life transitions. Clients often share that they feel empowered, more self-aware, and better equipped with practical tools they can apply in everyday life. My goal is not only to support you through difficult moments, but to help you build lasting resilience and meaningful, sustainable change.
I enjoy working with various populations, including veterans, victims of incarceration, survivors of domestic violence, and to individuals struggling with addictions. With a diverse background in both clinical and community settings, I have enhanced my skills in addressing a wide range of mental health issues. From anxiety and depression to trauma recovery, I provide an empathic and evidence-based counseling to individuals of all ages.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I am known for my integrative approach to counseling, drawing from cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness practices, and solution-focus techniques. I believe in tailoring a treatment plan to meet the needs of each individual, empowering them to build resilience and develop effective coping skills.
