Monique Trump
Anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, and trauma can leave you feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, or stuck. Whether you're navigating stress, divorce, family conflict, or other significant life changes, therapy can help you build the tools and confidence to move forward. I'm Monique, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Certified Anxiety Treatment Professional, and Mindfulness Practitioner. I provide compassionate, evidence-based therapy using a holistic, systemic approach that recognizes the connection between your relationships, experiences, and emotional well-being. Together, we'll identify your strengths, develop practical coping strategies, and work toward meaningful, lasting change.
I also help with treatment planning including the use of emotional support animals and psychiatric service dogs to reduce sympotoms.
I specialize in treating anxiety, trauma, OCD, relationship and family concerns, conflict, crisis, divorce, adjustment issues, and life transitions. I work with adults and college students, creating a safe, collaborative, and supportive environment where you can feel heard and empowered. I also offer clinical consultation regarding Emotional Support Animals (ESAs) and Psychiatric Service Dogs when appropriate as part of a comprehensive treatment plan. Telehealth services are available in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, and Virginia.
First session
Clients can expect an open and communicative first meeting. We will discuss a client's goals and learn more about each other to make sure the client is comfortable with me and with the therapy. This happens through asking questions about life, their symptoms, treatments they may have already tried, and what has gotten in their way in the past. I use empathy and compassion in a non-judgmental approach.
Strengths
My goal is to be a guide for clients. Therapy is all about client's needs. By being open and empathetic, I can help create a plan that is unique to each person's needs. I have great success with helping client's get relief from symptoms and situations. This is due to using approaches that are client centered.
Ideal clients
I love working with young adults and those going through transitions or those who have not found the tools or options to feel better in their life, work, or school situations. My clients are eager to improve, and just need some additional guidance. They often feel stuck, overwhelmed and anxious about themselves or their lives. Many client's are athletes, those in the medical field, business executives, and performers/influencers.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I work with a multitude of modalities to create unique client based treatment. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Thearpy, Strength-Based Therapy, Mindfulness, and Solution Focused Therapy.
Narrative
Working with clients from a lens of understanding their story. This is a humanistic approach where the client guides therapy.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
Solution Focused Brief Therapy is a way to work through some issues in less time. SFBT provides new ways of thinking, helps to question why we think as we do, and helps to change the pattern of thinking.
Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)
Exposure response therapy can be used for OCD, and anxiety. It helps clients learn to go towards their fears in a more focused way with steps and reframing of thoughts and behaviors. I also use mindfulness as part of this treatment.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Using an integrative approach with mindfulness as a core component, Client will learn how to be present in a moment, this helps a client learn to let go of anxiousness, worry, and negativity. Mindfulness can be used with adults and children and can help to create a better sense of self.
