I believe therapy is most effective when it feels both supportive and collaborative. My goal is to provide a safe space where clients can process trauma, explore challenges, and build the skills they need to live more fully. I offer psychotherapy, therapeutic assessments, and specialized interventions designed to meet each client’s unique needs. Whether you are navigating life transitions, managing mental health concerns, or seeking greater clarity in your relationships, I aim to help you feel understood and empowered. As I often remind clients, our connection to the world is shaped by the people we engage with. Together, we can build on your existing strengths and experiences to create meaningful change and improve your quality of life.

Subsequently each client will feel empowered, have a new sense of hope, and have the ability to better cope with ongoing challenges, regardless of background.

As an athlete, a family man, and a man of faith, I understand the challenges with adjusting to change associated with leaving a sport or career, you love, before you believe your time is up. I understand what it feels like to develop a bond and the challenges with sustaining such bonds. I also understand seeking growth spiritually when there’s so much temptation and triggers that seem to pull me away for my goals. With that, these experiences are what hopefully keep me humble, motivated, and grateful.

First session

During our first session, we’ll spend time getting to know each other and creating a foundation for your therapeutic journey. You can expect a supportive space where you’ll feel heard and respected, with opportunities to share what brings you to therapy. My focus is on building a human connection first, so we can move forward with trust and understanding. Our first session will be an opportunity to learn and better determine direction.

Strengths

I bring empathy, integrity, and passion to every session. My innovative and mindful approach helps me stay fully present with each client, ensuring that every step of the process is tailored to your needs. I believe that every interaction we have contributes meaningfully to your healing and growth. My greatest strength is resilience, especially since that is one of the only character traits that is something we all have the ability to earn.

Ideal clients

I specialize in working with clients who are managing co-occurring disorders, mood dysregulation, depression, anxiety, panic disorders, substance use challenges, personality disorders, and unresolved trauma. I also have experience supporting clients with autism, psychosomatic concerns, self-harm behaviors, and chemical dependency. My goal is to meet you where you are and help you take steps toward healing and resilience. My ideal clients are those looking for change and/or clarity. My ideal clients are also those trying to improve, and/or further develop their skills, with the intent to improve the quality of their lives.

I'm just grateful for our conversations; reminds me of the relationships that I had decades ago in NOLA - we would talk about anything and everything, share our hopes and dreams. He makes me feel relaxed and more comfortable with who I am. It's a cliche but he makes me feel 'seen'.

Christopher was very attentive and allowed me to have space to talk without giving any feelings of judgement. I felt I was able to open up about myself easily and am very excited to schedule future appointments with him.

Our first session went very well. Christopher was encouraging and provided helpful suggestions as we moved through my buckets. I look forward to continuing our discussions and I am grateful to have found Christopher on Grow.
