I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia with more than 10 years of experience in the mental health field. Throughout my career, I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, families, and older adults facing a wide range of challenges, including

depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, parenting concerns, ADHD, and Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD). While I value working with diverse populations, my primary focus is helping men and teens ages 13 to 65 navigate life's challenges, including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship issues, finding purpose, emotional regulation, and major life transitions.
First session
Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another. We'll discuss what brought you to therapy, explore your personal history, and talk about what you hope to achieve. There is never any pressure to share more than you're comfortable with. By the end of our first meeting, we'll identify initial goals and develop a plan that supports your journey toward healing, resilience, and personal growth.
Strengths
One of the greatest strengths I bring to therapy is my ability to connect with individuals through compassion, understanding, authenticity, and genuine care. I believe that life experiences, both good and challenging, can shape our ability to understand others, build meaningful connections, and approach people with empathy rather than judgment. My experiences have helped shape the therapist I am today and strengthened my belief that everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, valued, and supported. I believe in balancing the importance of holding space with the importance of encouraging growth and accountability. Sometimes clients need someone who will simply listen, validate their feelings, and allow them the opportunity to process their experiences. Other times, they may need someone who will gently challenge their thinking, help them recognize unhealthy patterns, explore different perspectives, and encourage them to step outside of their comfort zones. My goal is not to tell clients how to live their lives or provide all the answers, but to walk alongside them as they discover their own strengths, develop healthy coping strategies, build confidence, and recognize their ability to create meaningful change.
Ideal clients
I enjoy working with men of all ages who are ready to better understand themselves, strengthen their emotional well-being, and make meaningful changes in their lives. My ideal client may be navigating challenges with anger management, stress, anxiety, self-esteem, communication, relationships, life transitions, or difficulty expressing emotions. I recognize that many men have been taught to suppress their feelings, handle everything on their own, or believe that asking for help is a sign of weakness. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and judgment-free environment where men can be open about their experiences without feeling criticized or misunderstood.
Origin story
I understand that many men have been taught to carry their burdens in silence. My goal is to provide a space where you can be authentic without fear of judgment—a place where vulnerability is viewed as a strength and personal growth is possible. I believe healing begins with a therapeutic relationship built on trust, respect, and authenticity. My counseling style is warm, engaging, practical, and collaborative, and I strive to meet each client where they are while helping them build the confidence and skills to move forward.
Ongoing work together
My ongoing therapy sessions are centered around you, your experiences, your goals, and your personal growth. I believe therapy should be more than just having someone to talk to; it should be an opportunity to gain insight, develop healthier ways of thinking, learn practical coping skills, and make meaningful changes in your everyday life. During our sessions, we will explore current challenges, identify emotional triggers, recognize patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and work toward developing healthier responses. Some sessions may provide space for you to process difficult experiences and express your emotions, while others may involve learning new skills, challenging negative thought patterns, improving communication, and building confidence.
Treatment methods
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
My therapeutic approach incorporates Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients better understand their emotions, manage stress, improve communication, and develop healthier ways of responding to life's challenges. I believe therapy should provide more than a place to talk; it should also be an opportunity to learn practical skills that create meaningful changes outside the therapy room.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
My therapeutic approach incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence one another. I believe that the way we think about ourselves, our experiences, and the situations we encounter can significantly impact our emotional well-being and how we navigate everyday life.
