Hi, I’m Judy. I’ve been a counselor for over 20 years, and I enjoy getting to know people beyond the problems that bring them to therapy. People spend a lot of their lives being told how to be. I want to give you room to figure out what you think, what matters to you, and what you want to change. My style is conversational. I ask questions, share observations, and appreciate a little humor along the way. You don’t have to know where to start. We can figure that out together.

Hi, I’m Amanda, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). I try to help people make sense of their patterns, work through trauma, and create change in their lives. My style is honest, supportive, and pretty down-to-earth. We’ll focus on what you want to work on, at a pace that feels manageable. Together, we’ll look at what’s been keeping you stuck, whether that’s old wounds, relationship dynamics, or habits that don’t serve you anymore. From there, we’ll find ways to move forward that feel realistic and aligned with who you are. You can expect a mix of insight, compassion, and directness from me. My goal is for you to leave sessions feeling more clear, more grounded, and more connected to yourself.

I earned both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Youngstown State University and began my career working in foster care as a case manager, where I developed a strong foundation in advocacy, family systems, and trauma-informed care. I later expanded my clinical work as a mental health therapist in a school setting and within a collaborative program serving children involved in foster care, supporting clients through complex emotional and environmental challenges. I am trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and the Positive Parenting Program (Triple P). My clinical experience includes counseling children, adolescents, adults, and couples experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, ADHD, low self-esteem, anger management concerns, and relationship challenges. In my practice, I utilize trauma-informed CBT, solution-focused therapy, strengths-based approaches, and motivational interviewing to support meaningful and lasting change. I believe healing occurs in a safe, supportive, and collaborative environment, where clients feel empowered, respected, and actively involved in their mental health journey.

I’m Jessica, and I’m so glad you are here. I am a Christian but work with people of any faith or none at all. I work with teens, young adults, women, and couples- whether you are navigating trauma, childhood wounds, harmful or unhelpful relationship patterns, toxic workplaces, church hurt (without having to lose your faith), parenting, and betrayal/infidelity. I'm passionate about working with people who are ready to understand their patterns, do the hard work of growth, and move toward healing. We’re shaped by both our wounding and our wiring. Because of that, I use a trauma-informed AND attachment-based approach to help you understand where your patterns come from and create meaningful change through EMDR, inner child work, IFS, and memory reconsolidation, integrating your spirituality if you would like. With couples, I draw from Gottman-informed methods to rebuild connection and intimacy.

My name is Jennifer Bailey, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Registered Drama Therapist. I help clients identify and pursue the goals that lead to a life filled with meaning, pride, and contentment. Now, you may be wondering: “What exactly is a Registered Drama Therapist (RDT)?” Simply put, it means I integrate elements of theater and creative expression into the therapeutic process. With me, you have options. You might choose a traditional talk-therapy session to explore your thoughts, emotions, and goals. Or, if words don’t feel like enough, you might try something more experiential—writing, movement, role-play, or even reimagining and practicing conversations that keep replaying in your mind. Talk therapy is a powerful tool for growth, but sometimes it takes more than words to truly process what’s happening inside. That’s where creativity can open new doors. Whether through conversation, movement, sound, or artistic expression, I provide a space where you can choose what feels most healing and helpful. I would be honored to support you—whether that’s working toward personal goals, processing difficult emotions, or making positive and lasting changes in your life.

Kiersten DeFord, LISW-S : Licensed Independent Social Worker Supervisor Designation After receiving my masters in social work from Wright State University, I have had the privilege of walking alongside individuals for the past 8 years as they navigate both the heaviness, and hope life brings. Their challenges and the quiet transformations. Based in Dayton, I serve clients across Ohio through virtual therapy, and I’m passionate about creating a space that feels safe, kind, and human. My approach is deeply reflective and rooted in kindness. I believe therapy is less about “fixing” and more about creating space for discovery, healing, and growth. Together, we’ll explore the patterns, emotions, and stories that shape your life—at a pace that feels safe and honoring to you. My goal is to help you not only manage difficult seasons, but also cultivate deeper self-understanding, resilience, and compassion for yourself. I see therapy as a space where you don’t have to carry things alone. My role is to sit with you, listen deeply, and help you untangle the thoughts and feelings that may feel overwhelming. I’m not here to tell you who to be, but to walk alongside you as you figure out what feels right for your life. Clients often describe me as grounding, and compassionate, with an energy that makes it easier to open up. I strive to create a space where you can breathe, reflect, and feel truly heard—like talking with someone who cares about you and your story, and supports you while you reconnect with your strengths and move toward the life you want to create.

I'm Carmela Byus, LPCC-S, LICDC, a licensed mental health and substance use clinician who has been helping individuals navigate life's challenges since 2012. I believe meaningful change begins with feeling heard, understood, and supported. Every person has a unique story, and healing is not a one-size-fits-all journey. My approach is compassionate, person-centered, holistic, and trauma-informed. I recognize that our experiences, relationships, family dynamics, and attachment patterns can shape how we see ourselves, manage emotions, and connect with others. I work with individuals navigating trauma and PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, substance use concerns, low self-worth, relational difficulties, and life transitions. I am especially passionate about helping individuals understand how past experiences, attachment wounds, and learned patterns may influence their emotional well-being and relationships today. My goal is to create a safe, welcoming, and nonjudgmental environment where you can explore challenges, recognize your strengths, develop healthier coping strategies, and reconnect with your sense of identity and purpose. I believe our past experiences may shape us, but they do not have to define our future. Through understanding, self-compassion, and meaningful connection, healing and personal growth are possible. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Bowling Green State University and my Master of Social Work from the University of Toledo. I have been working with individuals and communities since 1998 and became independently licensed in 2011. I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervisory Designation. Throughout my career, I have supported individuals across the lifespan, including adolescents, adults, and older adults. My experience includes working with individuals, couples, and families, particularly people who are marginalized, underserved, unhoused, or living with serious and persistent mental illness and co-occurring conditions. Much of my clinical work has centered on individuals impacted by significant trauma, including complex and generational trauma. I recognize that mental health concerns rarely exist in isolation. Trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, relationship difficulties, identity exploration, and other life stressors can intersect in complex ways. I am also interested in helping clients explore patterns in their relationships with food, body image, social media, technology, and other aspects of daily life that may affect emotional well-being, self-esteem, and connection with others. My therapeutic approach is grounded in humanistic and relational principles, influenced by Carl Rogers and Virginia Satir. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Trauma-Informed Care, adapting these approaches to each client's individual experiences, strengths, needs, and goals.

Hi, I’m Brittany, an LISW in Ohio, wife, and mom of three with a heart for supporting women through the many seasons and transitions of life. I’m especially passionate about women’s and maternal mental health and creating a space where women feel seen, heard, and genuinely supported. I’m the founder of Selah Maternal Wellness, a virtual private practice where I work with women navigating anxiety, stress, overwhelm, life transitions, relationships, identity, pregnancy, postpartum, motherhood, and the everyday challenges that come with carrying so many roles. While maternal mental health holds a special place in my heart, my work is not limited to motherhood. I welcome women in all stages of life who are looking for a space to slow down, reconnect with themselves, build on their strengths, and create meaningful change. My approach is warm, collaborative, strengths-based, and focused on meeting you where you are. I also offer Christian counseling and faith-based therapy for women who would like to incorporate their faith into their healing journey, while always honoring each client’s individual beliefs and preferences. The name Selah reflects much of what I hope to offer through this work—a moment to pause, reflect, breathe, and reconnect. As women, we can spend so much time caring for everyone and everything around us that we forget we need care, too! Beyond individual therapy, I offer local workshops and group sessions to help women and moms connect, learn, and build supportive community. I’m also currently working toward my PMH-C certification to deepen my ability to support women throughout pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond. Whether through individual therapy, faith-based support, workshops, or groups, my hope is for Selah to be a place where women can pause, feel supported, reconnect with who they are, and know they don’t have to navigate life alone.

I believe counseling should feel like a real conversation with someone who is genuinely invested in helping you move forward. My approach is supportive, direct, practical, and holistic, looking at the whole person rather than simply focusing on symptoms. A big part of my work involves helping clients identify the beliefs, thought patterns, and experiences that may be shaping how they see themselves, their relationships, and the challenges they face. I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, stress, life transitions, self-doubt, relationship concerns, and performance-related challenges. I also have a strong interest in working with athletes around pressure, confidence, identity, setbacks, and the mental side of performance. Together, we work toward creating greater self-awareness, developing healthier beliefs and coping strategies, and building the confidence to make meaningful and lasting change,

Are you grinding through days feeling down, empty, burned out, or like you just can’t keep doing this? Do you feel a heaviness inside that keeps coming back and makes everything harder? Are you so used to bottling up your emotions that you can hardly remember a time when you didn’t just keep everything inside? You might believe deep down that you are broken, that it’s your fault you feel this way, and you will always need to hide who you really are and what you really feel from others. Or maybe life or a relationship has just gotten really hard lately, and you don’t know where to go from here.

Hello! I am a compassionate and dedicated therapist committed to helping individuals, couples, families, ministry leaders, and professionals navigate life's challenges with confidence, hope, and resilience. Since opening my practice in 2013, I have been passionate about creating a supportive environment where clients feel safe to heal, grow, and make meaningful changes in their lives. My approach combines evidence-based therapeutic techniques with Christian principles to provide holistic, personalized care that addresses emotional, relational, and spiritual well-being. I believe every person has the capacity for growth and healing, regardless of their circumstances, and I work collaboratively with clients to help them identify strengths, overcome obstacles, and build lasting resilience. I have experience helping clients navigate depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, mood disorders, substance use concerns, and relationship challenges. I also work with couples and families who are experiencing conflict, communication difficulties, or significant life transitions. My goal is to provide a warm, supportive, and professional space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered. In our work together, I focus on helping clients restore emotional wellness, strengthen relationships, gain deeper insight, and develop practical tools they can use in everyday life. Whether someone is facing a difficult season, healing from past experiences, struggling in a relationship, or seeking faith-integrated counseling, I tailor treatment to meet their unique needs and goals.

I am a licensed psychologist in Ohio and Virginia and a graduate of the University of Toledo. I have been serving children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families for over 35 years in a variety of settings. I maintain a part-time outpatient therapy practice while helping to lead a mental health agency in Virginia (where I live). Originally from Toledo, Ohio, I hope to serve clients who are in Toledo and/or the surrounding area. While my practice will be primarily via Telehealth, serving clients from the Toledo area will allow me to occasionally conduct in-person sessions. I love to help clients have a more compassionate understanding of themselves and others, heal through difficult circumstances, improve relationships, and achieve desired changes in their lives.

My clients often describe me as grounding and easy to talk to — someone who helps them feel safe, seen, and understood. In our work together, I’ll help you untangle what feels heavy, release what no longer serves you, and reconnect with your true self. My passion is helping you move from simply surviving to creating a life that feels grounded, abundant, and aligned with who you really are.

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
