Starting therapy can feel empowering, confusing, or even intimidating—and it’s worth taking a moment to recognize the courage it takes to take this first step toward caring for your mental health. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment where you can explore challenges related to anxiety, depression, self-care, and more. My goal is to help you strengthen communication and boundaries with yourself and others so that you can improve your quality of life and move toward the future you envision. Therapy is not just about overcoming obstacles—it’s also about personal growth. Together, we’ll clarify your goals and identify strategies to help you move toward them, whether that means change over the next month, six months, or a year. You’ll leave our sessions with practical insights and “next steps” you can put into action right away. I believe life’s purpose isn’t simply to be happy, but to find meaning—and within that meaning, joy emerges. While the journey isn’t always easy, it can be transformative. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Addictions Professional, Internationally Certified Drug Counselor, and Behavior Analyst. I take a strength-based approach, helping you use your unique abilities to address challenges. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing to empower you in creating lasting change. Most importantly, I bring a relaxed, compassionate, and trustworthy presence, fostering a therapeutic relationship where you feel safe and supported.

Hello! My name is Jeremy Brown! Has it been difficult and tough sometimes to talk to others like family and friends? Do you feel like people around you are not listening or hearing you when you speak? Do you struggle with self-compassion and self-gratitude? Have you always turned to other means to cope when stressed such as alcohol or other substances? I help individuals who are struggling with all the above and work side by side with you to formulate a healthier way to communicate and get to the root of your problems. I do so through the use of cognitive behavioral therapy which aims at changing the way we think and view various situations as well as solution focused therapy and strengths based techniques to show you that your are capable and strong to overcome. If you also struggle with substance abuse, I have 3 years of experience helping individuals suffering with alcohol, cannabis and stimulant use disorder find healthier ways to cope with issues than with the use of substances. I want to applaud you for taking the first step in your recovery and healing, this can all feel scary at first but you are on your way to healthier version of yourself! In our upcoming sessions together, I will meet you with compassion and empathy and take a collaborative approach to help you overcome any obstacle in your way. I look forward to working with you! Because sleep quality is critical to physical and mental health I am passionate about helping people get good sleep. I received my PhD from Duke University and have been a practicing psychologist for several decades. I work primarily with behavioral sleep medicine because sleep problems are so widespread, and there are not enough specialists to meet the need. I have published several articles and a book on sleep and am the director of the insomnia course for the World Sleep Academy, as well as a member of the Outreach and Public Education Committee, Society of Behavioral Sleep Medicine. I continue working with people with anxiety, depression, and couples issues on a limited basis. The methods I use are evidence-based and trauma-informed. I am also an ordained member of the clergy (rabbi) and consider one's spirituality an important part of treatment for many, though not all, people. I’ve practiced telehealth exclusively since early 2020. Most people appreciate working this way because of convenience. Therapy is not adversely affected, and I am even able to do hypnotherapy via telehealth.

I am a bilingual (English and Spanish) Licensed Therapist who works with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, stress, trauma, and self-esteem concerns. My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each client's unique needs. I primarily utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and a systemic perspective, recognizing that our experiences are shaped by our relationships, family systems, and environment. In Narrative Therapy, I believe that the problem is the problem, not the person. Together, we work to separate individuals from the challenges they face, helping them develop more empowering and meaningful life stories. I also integrate mindfulness-based interventions to help clients increase self-awareness, manage difficult emotions, and remain grounded during times of stress. My goal is to meet clients where they are, providing a safe, nonjudgmental space where they feel heard, respected, and supported throughout their therapeutic journey.

I completed my Masters in 2005, while also starting my journey in the field in 2004. I spent a year working in Opiate addiction but my true passion was children and families. I moved on to intensive services, working with underserved children and their families in rural areas, from 2005-2007. After leaving that position, I moved onto a company doing similar work. where I continued to work with children, families and adults that were underserved for 5 more years. I provided therapy in homes, schools and the office setting. I began to focus in on Trauma work as well as anxiety disorders to include OCD and all other anxiety disorders. After spending nearly 10 years in the field, I decided to get my license in the state of Florida (LMHC-Licensed Mental Health Counselor) and move into a management role where I worked for the past 13 years while also maintaining private clients. I supervise therapists, working to become licensed, so I spend a lot of time consulting on cases of all kinds. In this time I was also trained in various forms of trauma based cognitive behavioral approaches as well as EMDR (still learning however).

I have mostly been working with and serving Miami-Dade youth and Miami-Dade educators over the last 20 years, helping them overcome self-doubt and anxious tendencies that keep them from self-awareness and connecting with their most peaceful, loving, and best versions of themselves.

Are you experiencing frustration, confusion or turmoil in your life? Even to the point where you see no sense of direction while trying to navigate through life? At times, this can be overwhelming for individuals dealing with depression, anxiety, PTSD, including other mental health disorders. Hi! My name is Stephaney and I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida with almost a decade of experience in treating adults and adolescents for various mental health challenges and co-occurring diagnoses. I was inspired to become a therapist by my unique experience migrating to the United States at the age of 13 and attending middle school which was very challenging for me. Culture shock became my reality and one that would eventually lead me to “Severe anxiety.” Even with a very strong family support system, I felt alone and trapped by my own inner fears and self-defeating thoughts. Constant worry and fear of being bullied by my peers became my everyday experience. Through all these obstacles, I was able to process my feelings and experiences with my faith in Jesus Christ, supportive family, and a few good friends. To this extent, I have come to recognize the benefits of a strong support system and the need for social and relational connection. As a mental health counselor, I’m privileged to be a part of that support system for many people. I work with my clients to connect the dots between their thoughts, emotions, and actions, all while providing sound strategies to promote healthier thought processes. I believe that every human being deserves a chance to be heard and understood, and therapy has taught me that as human beings, we are more alike than different. So as your therapist, I’m excited to be a listening ear for you and help guide you toward your goals.

I'm Sherae Green, LMHC, CCTP, founder of Healing Roots Therapy, where I specialize in **trauma, women's mental health, and helping adults navigate life's challenges**. I believe meaningful change begins with understanding ourselves, recognizing how past experiences influence our present, and challenging patterns that no longer serve us. My approach is direct, collaborative, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed, balancing compassion with accountability to support lasting growth. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, self-esteem concerns, and cultural identity issues. I have a particular passion for supporting women, especially BIPOC women, navigating the intersection of personal experiences, cultural expectations, relationships, and systemic stressors. Whether you're processing painful experiences, feeling overwhelmed, or struggling to reconnect with yourself, I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space to explore your experiences and gain clarity. Recognizing that healing is not one-size-fits-all, I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Adlerian Therapy, and attachment-based interventions. Treatment is tailored to your unique needs, with an emphasis on developing self-awareness, strengthening emotional regulation, establishing healthy boundaries, and building practical coping skills. **My approach emphasizes active participation, self-reflection, and personal accountability.** Therapy is more than discussing challenges; it's about understanding underlying patterns, exploring new perspectives, and applying what you learn outside of sessions. I'll support you while also encouraging you to challenge beliefs and behaviors that may be limiting your growth. Ultimately, my goal is to help you move beyond survival mode and build a life rooted in emotional wellness, authenticity, confidence, and empowerment. Healing doesn't mean erasing your past; it means learning to move forward without allowing it to define your future. If you're ready to actively invest in your healing and personal growth, I look forward to working with you.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
