I’m a Licensed Master of Social Work (MSW) with 12 years of experience in therapy. My journey began with a strong academic foundation, including coursework focused on becoming a school social worker, which has been incredibly valuable in my practice. Although I’m not currently working in a school setting, the knowledge I gained helps me guide and empower parents to advocate for their children within the school system. I have a deep passion for working with children and teens who have experienced trauma, depression, anxiety, anger, autism, and ADHD. I understand that each child and teen is unique, and I tailor my approach to meet their individual needs, providing a safe space for them to express themselves and develop the tools to manage their emotions and challenges.

Navigating life’s complexities requires more than just a listening ear; it requires a structured, evidence-based approach tailored specifically to your goals. As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Michigan and Pennsylvania, I bring a unique, multidimensional perspective to our therapeutic sessions. My work is informed by over two decades of experience blending clinical psychotherapy with a strong background in coaching, instructional design and corporate facilitation. In our sessions, I prioritize creating a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel empowered to explore yourself and challenges. Whether you are navigating personal struggles, school or job stress, life transitions, or seeking to improve your personal well-being, I integrate traditional therapeutic techniques with practical, actionable strategies. I believe that therapy should not only provide insight into the "why" behind your experiences but also equip you with the "how"—the concrete skills and cognitive tools needed to foster lasting change. My approach is highly collaborative. I view our relationship as a partnership where we work together to design a roadmap for your growth. My background in coaching and design/facilitation allows me to bridge the gap between deep emotional exploration and behavioral implementation. I am passionate towards individuals who are managing the high-pressure demands of school, sports, and careers. Taking the first step toward therapy is a significant commitment to yourself. My goal is to ensure that our time together is efficient, compassionate, and deeply impactful. Whether you are seeking a fresh perspective on a long-standing issue or are ready to implement new strategies for success, I am here to help you navigate the path forward. Let’s work together to build the clarity and resilience you need to thrive.

I am a licensed clinical social worker committed to having a successful therapeutic relationship with clients. I like to empower and collaboratively work with clients to address their concerns, reach their personal goals and optimal potentials. I've always wanted to help people and I've always been a really social person; therapy allows me to do both and serve clients who may not have sought therapy before. Being a Black woman, I understand that people who look like me are least likely to seek therapy; this is one of the reasons I chose to become a therapist. I love interacting with clients from all different backgrounds as this widens my therapeutic practice. I received my undergraduate degree from FSU and my MSW degree from FIU.

I have more than three decades of personal and school counseling experience to share with my clients. I have worked in both private and Catholic schools. I have been a private therapist for eight years. I am also the proud mother of four adult sons. My life story includes some personal and professional obstacles, and I draw on these experiences to help my clients. I am especially empathetic to clients with physical challenges, as I cope with a partial hearing loss. This helps me serve clients with physical disabilities in addition to a wide variety of mental health challenges. I am privileged to serve anyone, but I have found my skills are particularly effective with children, teens, college students, and young adults who are navigating transitions, confidence, motivation or emotional challenges. I humbly believe my compassion and empathy are particularly helpful to this age group.

Hello. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who has been practicing for over 20 years. I work with adults, couples, and families including children, and adolescents. My goal is to work with each person individually from a person-centered perspective. I want you to feel that you are in control of your progress by identifying your needs and focusing on your strengths . My specialties include depression, anxiety, relationship issues, behavioral challenges, post-partum depression, parenting, chronic illness, and grief. I am available to see clients in Kentucky in-person or telehealth, and Michigan or Minnesota via telehealth. The person centered approach means that the client is the center of everything from the initial assessment, to the development of the goals, to the treatment that is provided. It is important that you know you are accepted and with therapy you are able to address the concerns you have and learn to effectively work through them. I understand therapy can feel uncomfortable and the thought of sharing yourself with someone you don't know (yet) can be overwhelming. Give me a call and we can talk for an initial conversation to see if it will be a good fit.

Therapy doesn’t have to be sitting on a couch while someone asks, “And how does that make you feel?” every five minutes. Life is complicated. Sometimes you’re anxious, overwhelmed, pissed off, exhausted, stuck in your head, dealing with trauma, struggling in a relationship, or just wondering how everyone else seems to have their shit together when you definitely do not. I want therapy to feel like a place where you can actually be yourself. No judgment. No pretending everything is fine. No having to make your problems sound “bad enough” to deserve help. You can show up as you are.

I am a trauma-based therapist, psychodynamic in orientation. I work with clients holistically, believing we are more than the sum of our parts and our trauma's. I tend to consider myself anti-diagnosis putting a major emphasis on making linkages to our pasts including prior relationships and family ties. I am also a dual diagnosis therapist believing with substance abuse concerns are composed of mental health issues and negative experiences. I also prefer but do not find necessary involvement with services from partners, husbands/wifes ect. I find the majority of clients we see also possess stress from unresolved issues with relationships, present and past.

Whether you're facing a specific challenge, feeling overwhelmed, or simply seeking a space to better understand yourself, you deserve care, support, and the opportunity to be heard. My name is Renee, and I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California in 2014. For more than 12 years, I have had the privilege of working with individuals from many different backgrounds and life experiences. You may have questions, uncertainties, or even mixed emotions about beginning this process and that's completely okay. There is no pressure to have everything figured out before you begin. Healing is not about having all the answers; it's about having a safe place to explore them. I would love to schedule a free 15-minute consultation to help you make your decison. My hope is to create a warm, welcoming, and compassionate space where you feel seen, valued, and accepted exactly as you are. A space where you can speak openly, feel safe to process life's challenges, celebrate your strengths, and move towards a life worth living. Whatever has brought you here, please know that you do not have to carry it alone. Support is available, and meaningful change is possible. I would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey. Every story deserves a witness and every voice deserves to feel heard. As a clinician I take a humanistic approach when meeting with clients. For me, Humanistic means engaging with clients and taking a non-judgmental approach while they share about the barriers they're facing in life. My goal is to create a safe space as clients work towards self-acceptance and work through difficult emotions. I have worked in the mental health field for 5+ years with a focus on helping those with developmental disabilities, and severe mental illness. I am passionate about guiding clients with ADHD, depression, anxiety, and trauma to reach their fullest potential. Everyone has a different starting point and no matter what brings you to therapy, I'm here to meet you where you're at. Every client experience is unique and deserves to be treated as such. Working together using a humanistic approach we will work together to find what works best for you to reach your identified wants and goals. This is your story, I'm just here to be your non-judgment listener while you figure out the ending.

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
