Meeting w/ Ms. PW raised concerns about professionalism and flippant responses. Intake audio was awful; we changed to phone, I expressed relief she retorted w/ “I had trouble too but just pushed through". I ended 2nd appt in 15 min bc it was too dark to see her face and the camera pointed at the ceiling half the time. When I asked about lighting she replied “I’m dark-skinned.” As a POC this felt dismissive of a basic visibility concern. My concern is telehealth standards, not clinical ability.

Unfortunately Patricia did not feel like a good fit at all. I know some people may really appreciate the casual ‘FaceTiming a friend’ vibe Patricia presents, but I did not. It’s not that she wasn’t polite, but I did not experience a high level of professionalism and that was really disappointing. Zero kind of rapport built up before launching into prying questions about really sensitive trauma. Not to mention the loud tv in the background the whole time and the multiple beeps from her phone!

Had my first session. I am glad to walk away with tools. I appreciated she was open to my questions and not offended.
