My work as a therapist has given me the privilege of supporting people from many different backgrounds, cultures, and walks of life. Through these experiences, I've come to appreciate that while our stories are unique, many of us share similar struggles: wanting to feel connected, understood, accepted, and at peace within ourselves. I view therapy as a collaborative process rooted in curiosity, self compassion, and growth. Whether you're navigating a difficult chapter or seeking a deeper understanding of yourself, I aim to provide a space where healing, insight, and meaningful change can emerge.

I chose this line of work to provide others with the skills they need for walking their life path with their heads held high and love in their hearts. At some point we are all given difficult, transformative opportunities. I would be grateful to assist in honoring life's painful experiences and integrating them as they transform you into something greater. As a yoga teacher, therapist, and spiritual seeker who specializes in working with women I use healing modalities that shift the mind, body, and soul. My care will provide a safe space to cultivate an understanding of the symptoms present and how they fit into your life story. I will introduce tools to initially help you alleviate and integrate symptoms, but I hope they're more than that. My goal is for you to gain lifelong skills that leave you feeling empowered when faced with life's twists and turns. Healing is a difficult but beautiful, eye opening journey. I find stimulating the mind, giving the body a voice, and listening to the soul to be the three most important components of healing. My sessions incorporate techniques for relaxing and relating to the body, talk therapy for stimulating the mind, and practices for getting in touch with the soul.

Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 10 years of experience. I’ve learned that while clinical tools are essential, they work best when delivered with warmth and empathy. This experience deepened my expertise in trauma-focused, evidence-based care, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and many other protocols. I believe there is no one quite like you, so I keep my approach individualized to you, prioritizing our relationship as the foundation for growth. My name is Kirt Baab, LCSW. I have been practicing psychotherapy and counseling since 1983. My practice focuses on using my training and experience to help people get out of the rut where they are stuck. In particular, I engage with people in ways that unlocks their greatest strengths and use those abilities to find relief. Most of us are unaware of how capable we are because we repeat what we know instead of learning something new. You'll find your meetings with me refreshing! I have helped patients change the way they look at themselves. They stop seeing themselves as a problem and grow their self-confidence ultimately acting differently and breaking the habits of criticizing themselves and anticipating failure. Those emotional blocks are just that us standing in our own way. The good news is that no matter what's happened in your life to keep you tied to a painful way of living, relief is possible in fact probable.

I'm a therapist with a PsyD and an LPC license. I work with teens and adults in need of true listening and clear-headed guidance through the overwhelm. Maybe things have been piling on for a while, or something recently tipped the balance, but whatever’s going on, you don’t have to navigate it on your own. I’m engaged, attuned, and honest. Together, we sort through it, find some steadiness, and move toward solutions and solace. We make small, manageable shifts so you can feel more like yourself again. And if you’re not even sure who that is yet, we’ll start there.

My name is Miguel Lopez, a Hispanic male (He/Him/His) and U.S. Army combat veteran who brings a unique perspective to my work as a therapist. Fluent in Spanish and passionate about guiding people through life’s challenges, I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Walden University, a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice from Colorado Technical University, and an Associate’s in Criminal Justice from Pikes Peak State College. With over a decade of experience as a caseworker, substance abuse counselor, and therapist, I’ve had the privilege of working with diverse clients facing real-life struggles and in need of daily support. Life can be tough, and we all face difficult moments—whether it’s a breakup, divorce, grief, the loss of a loved one or pet, or even a job loss. In these times, having an unbiased person to offer support can make a world of difference. I see trauma as an unexpected part of life that is often hard to process, but with the right help, it can be managed and overcome healthily. I’ve personally experienced more than my share of trauma, grief, loss, sadness, depression, and substance use, and I sought help to work through them. My approach to therapy is centered on helping people in the best way possible, always with an open mind. I often use Maslow’s hierarchy of needs as a guide, because I believe mental health is hard to prioritize when physical needs aren’t met, or issues like homelessness or substance abuse are present. I enjoy working with clients from age 5 to older adults who face Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, PTSD, Mood Disorders, Personality Disorders, and other mental health or substance use challenges. It’s easy to fight battles alone and suffer in silence, but you don’t have to anymore—together, we can work toward healing and a better future.

Working from a systemic perspective, I look at how the whole system is interacting and functioning. I use a Narrative approach and Brainspotting. I am interested in the narratives or rules that we have picked up from our families of origin, relationships, and experiences. Often, these rules are helpful in the beginning and become a source of struggle down the road. Brainspotting is a trauma modality. More information can be found at brainspotting.com.

I am a therapist that enjoys using client centered strategies to help clients better understand themselves and how they exist in the world around them. When I look at my journey through life, I have found that some of the greatest changes I have made were through conversations with others who helped me to see the world from a lens of choice. I have learned over the years that choice relates to actions, that in turn influence dynamics of empowerment and advocacy. Empowerment, advocacy, and perseverance are terms easy to grasp by definition, but much more difficult to follow through with in our day to day experiences. I believe that healing and growth really begin to set in when decisions are made to accept the current reality of ones life and then further commit to strategically apply necessary changes. Over time, I have noticed that therapy often can help people (myself included) gain a greater sense of self efficacy and self confidence, especially when we learn how powerful our thoughts and actions can be! In other words, it is ok if there are things happening in our day that we would rather not go through, however we also have a choice in how we respond in that day. I value the importance of a healthy and healing therapeutic relationship! I also value the process of exploring how trust and hope participate towards how we experience the world.

I’m a bilingual (Spanish and English) Licensed Professional Counselor who helps people understand themselves in a way that actually creates change. Many of my clients come in feeling stuck, frustrated, or hard on themselves—especially around perfectionism, body image, self-worth, and the lasting impact of childhood experiences. What sets my work apart is my ability to quickly identify patterns and connect the dots between your past, your internal world, and how you relate to yourself now. I take a direct, compassionate, and insight-driven approach. I will challenge you, reflect what you may not yet see, and help you make sense of thoughts and behaviors that feel confusing or out of your control—without reducing you to those patterns. I also work from a systems perspective, meaning I look at both your personal experiences and the larger influences that shape them—family dynamics, cultural messaging, and societal pressures. This is especially important in my work around body image, relationship with food, and self-worth, where neutrality and sustainability matter more than quick fixes. My goal is not just to help you feel better—it’s to help you understand yourself well enough that real, lasting change becomes possible.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. I specialize in working with individuals of all ages. I have found that online therapy for adults is effective, convenient and the post pandemic way to obtain therapy. I am solution focused, and I practice the client centered approach theory. My background is in secondary education and school counseling, for 27 years. I have had my counseling license for 13 years. I am currently a part-time, private counselor, using online with adult clients and in person, for youth, through non-profit, school programs. I earned an A.A. in Historical Studies from San Jacinto College, Central Campus, La Porte, Texas, June of 1991. I earned my B.A. in Secondary Social Studies from the University of Houston, Clearlake Campus, in Houston, Texas in June of 1994. And I earned my M.Ed. from University of Texas State in San Marcos, in December of 2010. I later added my license in Professional Counseling, in April of 2011. I am interested in the ways trauma impacts the individual and plan to be trained in EMDR, within the year. I am empathetic to the challenge that real life experiences bring and the need to heal and evolve from the times in our lives when we have lived predominately in our shadow side. I am a non-judgmental listener; I help my clients process their hurt and I inspire them to move towards best version of themselves. I find the key components to a therapeutic relationship between the counselor and the client is the foundation of trust, honesty, transparency and non-judgmental listening and reflection. I believe that everyone has a purpose, life lessons that they work through and opportunities to heal, transform and evolve emotionally, spiritually and mentally.

I’m Will. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience from The Ohio State University and my master’s in Clinical Psychology from University of Denver. I see therapy as a space where we can slow things down, sit with what’s really happening underneath the surface, and better understand the patterns, emotions, and protective responses shaping your experience. I’m here to help hold and explore feelings with you, not judge or push them away. We can resist to acknowledge certain emotions because of a lot of things; shame, “shoulds,” self-judgment. beliefs we’ve absorbed from others. But mostly because its just becomes a reflex established in childhood that kept us safe. Feelings do not have to be objectively true or rational (the amygdala tends not to care about that) to deserve our attention and empathy . When we slow down enough to acknowledge and hold space for them, emotions can return to their original purpose: giving us information about our needs, wants, boundaries, and experiences instead of quietly driving behaviors underneath our awareness. I won’t lie — this work can feel challenging and even awkward at first. Most of us were never taught how to truly sit with ourselves. But in my experience, this kind of work creates deeper and more lasting nervous system change than only relying on coping skills to manage emotions. Your emotions and feeling are who you are, when the are free to be expressed and acknowledged my clients find parts of themselves that were previously thought to be loss.

Stepping into counseling is a second career for me. Before this work, I spent many years as an accountant, but I found myself wanting deeper, more meaningful connection with people. That desire to sit with others in their real, human experiences is what led me to become a counselor. I’ve personally navigated many of the same challenges that bring people into therapy. This doesn’t make me an expert in anyone else’s life—it simply means I understand, on a human level, how vulnerable it can feel to open up, and how much courage it takes to work toward change. I believe change is a gradual process, and each person moves at the pace and in the way that fits them best. My role is to offer empathy, support, and a space where your experiences are met with respect and understanding.

My name is Cayla, I identify as a Black cisgender woman of African American and Jamaican heritage. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Registered Dance/Movement Therapist in Denver, CO. Outside of my clinical work, I enjoy dance, yoga, live music, spending time in nature, and being with friends and family. My connection to dance began at a young age. The dance studio was a space where I could express myself freely—without needing to find the perfect words for what I was feeling. Over time, dance and movement practices like yoga became steady sources of support through major life transitions, uncertainty, moments of joy, and grief. When choosing my career path, I felt a deep calling to support others in turning towards the wisdom inside of themselves. Our bodies hold profound wisdom—they can be a source of comfort and safety, and often carry the impact of past trauma, stress, and lived experiences that then impact our relationships and mental health and well being. My approach is holistic, honoring all the unique parts of who you are so that healing feels integrated and lasting. The work we do is less about teaching you something new and more about helping you reconnect with and integrate practices into daily life that support you in coming home to yourself.

Hello! I’m LuAnn, a licensed clinical social worker and Grow therapist based in Colorado. If you’re reading this, you’re likely looking for professional support, and I’m glad you’re here. A little about me: I am a neurodivergent female originally from the Southeast Coast, though I’ve called the Colorado mountains home for nearly twenty years. I’ve been in the mental health field for over 30 years, working with people of all ages, backgrounds, and walks of life. I tend to work best with those who prefer an informal, authentic connection and can appreciate a bit of humor along the way. When I’m not in session, my husband and I run a small sanctuary for special-needs cats.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Doctor of Natural and Bioenergetic Medicine, I have dedicated my career to understanding the profound dialogue between the mind and the body. In my years of clinical practice, I began to see a recurring pattern: traditional psychotherapy is powerful, but it often reaches a ceiling when the body’s "biological battery" is depleted. I realized that to truly help my clients heal from the inside out, I needed to bridge the gap between psychological processing and the body’s subtle energy systems. My approach is built on the premise that your life experiences—your joys, traumas, and daily stressors—do not just live in your memory; they live in your cells and your energetic field. By integrating my clinical LPC background with my doctoral training in bioenergetic medicine, I offer a unique, 360-degree therapeutic experience. We don't just talk about the obstacles in your life; we work to shift the underlying energetic and physiological patterns that keep those obstacles in place. Whether you are navigating the heavy fog of depression, the constant hum of anxiety, or the complexities of unresolved trauma, my practice is informed by a deep understanding of human bioenergetics. This allows us to look beyond surface-level symptoms to explore how your environment, your lifestyle, and your body’s unique energy pathways are impacting your emotional resilience. My mission is to guide you toward "Integrated Health"—a state where your mind is clear, your nervous system is regulated, and your spirit is fully aligned.

Frequently asked questions

Why filter by state rather than a city?

When looking for online therapy, you can see anyone that is credentialed in the state. We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across the entire state. If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near your address.

Will my therapist take insurance?

When booking you’ll be asked to verify with your Member ID. However, if you don’t have any of the insurances available you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

How does the Specialty Filter work? Can I find a therapist that focuses on Trauma and PTSD?

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need. For example, your selected specialty, Trauma and PTSD, is filtering therapists in Colorado that work with patients with similar concerns.

Why use Gender, Age, and Identities filters?

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

What happens during the first therapy session?

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
