Hi! I'm Jen Tucker, a licensed mental health counselor who is passionate about serving others. I'm a military veteran and a military spouse. I'm also a wife, mom, and grandmother. I've been through a lot in my life. Most of you have too. After all, you find yourself here looking for something. It is my firm belief that each and every one of us has tremendous potential. We all have unique talents and skills, honed and sharpened through our life experiences. These experiences, while crucial to shaping us, can also leave us hurt, confused, numb, or insecure. It is paramount that we stop along our journey to take stock, address our needs, heal, and refocus. Sometimes, we realize we may benefit from having extra support or guidance through these moments. That is where therapy can help. Throughout my counseling career, I have had the privilege of being able to walk beside clients as they process the past, learn to be comfortable in the present, and get excited for the future. I am certified in trauma and treat clients with a wide range of concerns. Whether you feel ready to dive into therapy, or you are just contemplating the idea, I'd love to hear from you. I am currently accepting video clients for individual therapy. If you aren't ready to make contact, I have some resources available for self-reflection. Check out my blog at NotWavingButDrowning.org or my TikTok @MHMinute, where you'll find videos on a variety of mental health topics.

Life rarely comes with a roadmap, and lately, just getting through your daily checklist might feel like an uphill battle. Maybe you are constantly doubting yourself, feeling hijacked by anxiety, or realizing that the way you’ve been coping with stress or anger just isn't working anymore. If you are a teenager, college student, adult, or an exhausted parent trying to handle a massive life transition by trial and error, I want you to know two things: your feelings make complete sense, and you do not have to figure this out by yourself.

Welcome. Taking the step to seek support is not always easy, and I’m glad you’re here. As a licensed counselor, I specialize in helping individuals heal from trauma and navigate the challenges of depression, anxiety, and other mental health concerns. Additionally, I am well versed in helping others establish healthy relationships. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices tailored to your unique experiences and goals. I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you better understand and challenge unhelpful thought patterns, creating space for more balanced and empowering perspectives. At the same time, I incorporate principles like radical acceptance to support you in making peace with what cannot be changed, while still moving forward in meaningful ways. Because trauma is not only something we think about—but something we carry—I also integrate body-based (psychosomatic) approaches. These techniques help you reconnect with your body, process stored stress or trauma, and build a greater sense of safety and regulation from within. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where you can explore your experiences, build resilience, and develop practical tools for lasting change. You don’t have to do this alone—healing is possible, and I’m here to walk alongside you.

I grew up in Eastern Europe and moved to the USA as an adult. I speak Russian, Ukrainian, and English languages. I had to learn a whole new way of living, face my fears, and overcome many barriers and understand how important communication is in moving forward in life in the direction we want to go. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of working with many different people. I've counseled older adults, LGBTQ+, immigrants and refugees from all over the world. I believe in creating a warm and welcoming space where you can feel safe to share your thoughts and feelings, and I am here to help you feel understood and valued. I graduated with a Master's degree in Social Work from Edinboro University - now PennWest - in 2007, and I recently became certified in EMDR and member of EMDRIA (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) International Association. I’m a licensed therapist with over a decade of experience supporting neurodiverse individuals and people navigating anxiety, depression, and self‑doubt. My background spans community‑based work, clinical practice, and school‑based therapy, and those experiences have shaped the way I show up with clients: calm, empathic, and steady. I create a space where you can slow down, feel understood, and explore what’s been weighing on you without pressure or judgment. Together, we work to deepen self‑care, ease anxious or self‑critical thoughts, strengthen coping skills, and build relationships that feel healthier and more supportive. Hi! I'm Mattie. I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling & Psychology from Eastern University in 2018, with a concentration in Trauma Studies. Since then, I’ve worked across detox, residential, PHP, IOP, and outpatient settings, supporting individuals with a wide range of clinical needs and levels of acuity. My areas of focus include trauma, substance use disorders, grief & loss, personality disorders, anxiety, and mood disorders, and experience working with significant emotional dysregulation, and co-occurring medical and psychiatric concerns. My experience in higher levels of care has given me extensive experience with crisis intervention, de-escalation, safety concerns, and acute instability. I’ve worked closely with multidisciplinary teams when clients required a higher level of support and helped individuals regain stability while moving toward meaningful recovery. I’ve also facilitated and developed therapeutic groups, contributed to program development and clinical programming, and helped create and coordinate structured program schedules across multiple levels of care. My approach draws from evidence-based, trauma-informed modalities including CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy.

My style is warm, curious, engaged, and down-to-earth. I’m not the kind of therapist who sits silently and occasionally asks, “How does that make you feel?” I’ll be right there with you—asking questions, noticing patterns, offering perspective, and sometimes bringing humor into the room when it feels right. I work especially well with thoughtful, self-aware people who have done a lot of thinking about themselves but still find themselves caught in patterns they can’t quite think their way out of. You may be successful and capable on the outside while privately struggling with anxiety, self-doubt, perfectionism, relationship patterns, or a persistent sense that something is missing. I also work with people who feel disconnected—from their emotions, their relationships, or even themselves. Sometimes that disconnection developed for very good reasons. If you learned early in life to stay in control, rely on yourself, push feelings aside, or keep others at a distance, those strategies may have helped you survive difficult experiences but now leave you feeling stuck or alone. My approach is grounded largely in Internal Family Systems (IFS), attachment, mindfulness, and somatic work. Rather than asking, “What’s wrong with you?” we get curious about what happened, what you learned to do to survive or belong, and what different parts of you may still be trying to protect. Our work is about more than understanding yourself. It’s about experiencing yourself differently—with more compassion, more choice, deeper connection, and less internal noise.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania, and I believe that therapy should feel like a safe, judgment-free space where you can be yourself, feel heard and work toward meaningful change. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of therapeutic settings, including school-based behavioral health and outpatient clinics. Throughout my career, I've had the opportunity to support individuals and families through anxiety, stress, emotional challenges, life transitions, behavioral concerns, relationship difficulties, and other experiences that can make a life feel overwhelming. I work with children ages 6 and older, adolescents, and adults, and I understand that therapy looks different for everyone. With children and teens, I focus on building trust and creating a space where they feel comfortable expressing themselves. I also believe in working collaboratively with parents and caregivers when appropriate, because supporting the while family can be an important part of progress. With adults, I strive to create a genuine and supportive environment where you can slow down, make sense of what you're experiencing, and develop practical tools to move forward. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, feeling stuck, navigating a major life change, or simply feeling like you need someone in your corner, you don't have to figure everything out on your own. Together, we can identify goals that feel meaningful to you and work at a pace that feels comfortable. I want my clients to leave sessions feeling heard, understood and supported, while also gaining practical strategies they can use in their everyday lives.

Hello. I'm James and I appreciate that you are considering me to be your therapist. The decision to begin therapy for the first time or with a new treatment professional requires strength, courage and commitment. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, ADHD, relationship issues, financial pressures, addiction or any other obstacle that prevents you from living the life that you want, finding the right therapist for you is an important part of getting yourself back to where you would like to be. I have experienced a variety of obstacles in my own life and personally understand how the therapeutic process can help change your life. This is my second career. While working in manufacturing at a pharmaceutical company, and being a full-time single-parent, I completed my education over a number of years and began working part-time in the field several years prior to my retirement from the pharmaceutical industry in 2012. I have worked with groups and individuals in a variety of settings. To me, this career is a calling for which my collective life experiences have prepared me. My Masters degrees are in Psychological Counseling, Addictions Counseling and Industrial/Organizational Psychology. I appreciate the uniqueness of each individual and have worked with people from a number of different cultures, religions and lifestyle orientations. In my own life, I strive for continual personal growth and to nurture my mind body and spirit. Should you decide to work with me, I will help you to appreciate your strengths and to build on the courage and commitment that brought you to seek changes in your life. My goal is to always help you find ways to be happy in your life and to do it in ways that work for you. If you're willing to do the work, your life WILL get better.

I work with men who think deeply, care a lot, and feel worn down by demands of modern life. You may be managing stress that shows up across multiple areas—career, relationships, identity, spirituality. Part of you wants things to be different, while another part feels unsure. This isn't a problem, but a starting point. We move at a pace that respects where you are and recognizes that progress doesn’t have to be dramatic to be therapeutic. You're taking that first step toward a life that feels not only manageable, but meaningful.

Hello, I’m Colleen. Does it feel as if you are giving more energy than you have or that there are too many things and not enough mental energy to juggle all those tasks? Are you finding that your relationships are strained or that keeping up with friends and loved ones seems like an unsurmountable task? Do you find it difficult to give yourself grace and empathy? I am looking to work with young professionals and adults to help manage anxiety, burnout, depression, and the stressors that come with living in a chaotic world. Together, we can identify the issues that you are facing, discuss how best to manage these feelings and stressors and find a way to make your routine and relationships work with you instead of against you. I have weekend availability to help fit therapy into your busy schedule. I have worked in the hospital setting for seven years now and feel very comfortable talking with medical professionals about the particularly difficult strains that a career in medicine puts on individuals. Whether it is dealing with the mental load and stress of being a resident, the emotional labor done as a nurse, or the burnout that all individuals in this profession face, I am here to listen and provide non-judgmental feedback to help you manage such a demanding career. Anxiety, depression, and strained relationships can feel overwhelming and unsurmountable alone, but I’m here to help. In our sessions, I hope to provide a place where you feel safe, and somewhere we can work together to make a plan to make any stressors that you are dealing with manageable. I look forward to working with you.

*Please note, I am currently only accepting new clients for daytime appointments* Welcome! My name is Evan Miller and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and psychotherapist in the state of Pennsylvania. The goal of therapy is to facilitate personal growth and help you improve your life. I believe there is no one-size-fits all approach to therapy, so this can take many shapes and forms depending on your needs. Whether you're looking to build self-awareness, strengthen your relationships, change your unwanted habits, better manage your stress or just feel better emotionally - I am here to help! I consider the therapeutic relationship to be fundamental to all forms of good therapy, so I continually strive to create an environment that is supportive, safe, authentic, comfortable and non-judgmental. While I have specialized training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (M.I.) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD, I utilize a person-centered and integrative approach that also incorporates elements of attachment theory, existential-humanistic theory and harm reduction philosophy.

Being your authentic self in this world can be hard, but it is possible. Often times we have systems weighing us down that get in the way of that process. I want to guide you on your journey of self-discovery and help you recognize your own strengths. My wish is for you to find support and become more empowered. Counseling is one way you can begin to work through these challenges and in a way is a first step in self-advocacy. It offers an outside perspective and a type of scaffolding as you build yourself up. Communication, stress management and dealing with the intensity of daily emotions can be overwhelming, especially when you realize that your brain is considered different from the “default.” As a counselor, I believe that when lived experience is combined with formal schooling the results can create a better connection. Let’s work together on goals that you find important, because you know yourself better than anyone else! If you are ready to schedule you can click on the book now button.

Hello! I'm so glad that we are crossing paths. Making the decision to start therapy or change providers can be difficult. Change is hard and scary but you're here. It is my biggest hope that you connect with someone who works well with you and that you get some relief from the therapeutic process. Let me tell you a little about me so that you can decide if I will be a good fit for you. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 20 years of experience in mental health care. I have worked in a variety of settings including hospitals, agencies and private practice. I graduated with my Master's degree from Loyola University of Chicago in 2001 and a Bachelor's in Psychology from the university of Chicago in 1994. I use predominantly psychodynamic and narrative approaches to therapy in order to help understand the roots of your issues, discover thought and behavioral patterns that aren't working for you, and build new patterns that will work better. I help with building coping skills and use analogies and metaphors to simplify problems. I'm also known to use humor.

Frequently asked questions

When looking for online therapy, you can see anyone that is credentialed in Pennsylvania. We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across Pennsylvania from Pittsburgh to Scranton! If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near you in Pennsylvania.

When booking you’ll be asked to verify with your Member ID. However, if you don’t have any of the insurances available you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
