Are you experiencing frustration, confusion or turmoil in your life? Even to the point where you see no sense of direction while trying to navigate through life? At times, this can be overwhelming for individuals dealing with depression, anxiety, PTSD, including other mental health disorders. Hi! My name is Stephaney and I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida with almost a decade of experience in treating adults and adolescents for various mental health challenges and co-occurring diagnoses. I was inspired to become a therapist by my unique experience migrating to the United States at the age of 13 and attending middle school which was very challenging for me. Culture shock became my reality and one that would eventually lead me to “Severe anxiety.” Even with a very strong family support system, I felt alone and trapped by my own inner fears and self-defeating thoughts. Constant worry and fear of being bullied by my peers became my everyday experience. Through all these obstacles, I was able to process my feelings and experiences with my faith in Jesus Christ, supportive family, and a few good friends. To this extent, I have come to recognize the benefits of a strong support system and the need for social and relational connection. As a mental health counselor, I’m privileged to be a part of that support system for many people. I work with my clients to connect the dots between their thoughts, emotions, and actions, all while providing sound strategies to promote healthier thought processes. I believe that every human being deserves a chance to be heard and understood, and therapy has taught me that as human beings, we are more alike than different. So as your therapist, I’m excited to be a listening ear for you and help guide you toward your goals.

Hi, I’m Ashley therapist, animal lover, creative soul, and lifelong daydreamer. I bring a warm and down-to-earth approach to my work, and I believe that connection, curiosity, and authenticity are at the heart of healing. When I’m not in session, you can usually find me lost in a good book especially fantasy, romantasy, or dark romance (I’m a proud BookTok girly). Some of my favorite reads have come straight from client recommendations. I always love hearing what’s on your bookshelf. I’m also a big fan of all things crafty. Paper crafting is my go-to especially junk journals and mini albums but I’ve dabbled in wreaths, t-shirts, and tumblers. My creativity also spills into my love of music, which spans from Sleep Token to George Strait to Eminem. I’m always up for discovering new bands or catching a local show. On slower days, I love wandering through antique stores and thrift shops. Most of my home is decorated with pieces that have a story either found secondhand or passed down through family. I find comfort in giving old things new life. Animals have always been a grounding force in my world. I’ve been riding horses since I was four, and my heart horse, Kirby, is my trail buddy and snack-sharing best friend (she’s a big fan of applesauce and cupcakes). My two dogs, Oliver and Dottie, are certified therapy dogs who’ve joined me in visits to hospices, hospitals, nursing homes, and children’s reading programs. Together, Kirby, Oliver, and Dottie inspired the name Free to Wander Counseling, a reflection of my belief that healing often begins when we allow ourselves to explore, play, and connect in gentle, open-hearted ways. Wherever you are on your journey, you are welcome here just as you are.

I've been working in mental health for 15 years, and I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor in Virginia, Ohio, and Georgia. Most of what I do centers around anxiety, ADHD, autism, trauma, and PTSD — but I work with people dealing with a lot of different things, and I'm not going to tell you your situation doesn't qualify. I see kids, teens, adults, couples, and families, so if you're looking for someone who can work with your family across different ages, that's something I can do. I'm a Certified Trauma Specialist and trained in integrative mental health, which means I bring more tools to the table than just talk therapy. I'm neurodivergence-affirming and work with people across a wide range of identities and communities, including LGBTQ+ individuals and single parents. A lot of my clients have been carrying something for a long time before they finally reach out — that's more common than you'd think, and it's never too late to start.

I am an AK amputee, a person with a disability, a disabled person, a one-legged person, or as medical folks will say a person with a "residual limb" (I have never heard an amputee call their stump a residual limb). If you have been looking for a therapist and you see the photo they choose to put on their page, how many put their disability in their photo? That choice says something. I am also a psychotherapist with 50 years experience of providing therapy to adolescents, adults, and families. My identity shifted 10 years ago when my right leg was amputated above the knee (AK). The identity as a disabled person is not a sought after identity. In many ways being disabled sucks big time. Providing telehealth services would be one way for me to "hide" my disability. Just never point the camera toward my leg. I don't like my experience of me just walking into a room and my leg has already introduced me long before I say my name. I am looking for clients that are disabled in some way and want to work on not letting that "disability label " suck your lifeblood away.

Together, we'll identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, develop practical coping strategies, and create meaningful goals that align with your values. “Unconditional Positive Regard” - the idea of being accepted and supported, no matter what. Unconditionally. While it would be nice to always be surrounded by people who provide it, if you aren’t, you can find it in our space together. A firm believer in solution-focused, strengths-based, and action-oriented therapeutic approaches, Arika Adams, LCSW, has had over a decade of working with children and families who have experienced trauma, including significant work with adoptive families - particularly those adopting older children and perinatal women. Clients shouldn't have to be in therapy forever! Together, we'll co-create a balanced approach combining active listening with practical techniques, helping you reclaim your narrative and overcome obstacles. My clinical and holistic approach aims for deeper alignment and fulfillment—think more water, less soda. As an LCSW, I'm trained in EMDR, certified in Theta Healing, Reiki, Transformational Life Coaching, and Therapeutic Touch, and am a Master Practitioner in Neuro Linguistic Programming, Hypnotherapy, and Time Line Therapy. I provide a compassionate, judgment-free space to explore your wants, needs, and emotions. You know yourself best, and our work is about uncovering your truths rather than imposing mine. Together, we'll determine the tools and approaches that best suit your needs, ensuring you feel heard, validated, and empowered. The goal is to help you confidently manage challenges independently over time. We'll walk side-by-side, with you gradually taking the lead and me offering steady support. If you have pressing concerns, those always take precedence. Our sessions focus on understanding HOW you think, not just WHAT you think, exploring both conscious and unconscious beliefs and emotions. You'll leave with clear, actionable steps, such as mindfulness exercises, creative writing prompts, meditation, and breathwork techniques to regulate emotions and reclaim your narrative. Therapy isn't about fixing what's "broken" but enhancing alignment and fulfillment while overcoming obstacles. By focusing on your goals and measuring progress, we can eliminate stigma, leaving shame behind and empowering you toward greater self-awareness and fulfillment.

I am Teri, a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and licensed substance abuse treatment practitioner (LSATP) with extensive experience in behavioral health, having worked in the field since 2018. My dedication lies in supporting individuals who are navigating mental health challenges and substance use disorders. I believe in the power of education, helping my clients understand how their behaviors and past experiences shape their present circumstances and future potential. I am now accepting clients in the State of Florida and Tennessee. My approach to therapy is rooted in empowerment. I work collaboratively with my clients to uncover the how, when, what, and why of their struggles, so they can better understand the underlying causes of their issues. By addressing these root causes, I believe individuals can begin to break the cycle of unhealthy behaviors and make meaningful changes in their lives. If you are struggling with emotional or behavioral challenges, I am here to help you gain clarity, learn new coping strategies, and create a path toward lasting change. Together, we can work toward understanding and healing so you can live a more fulfilling life.

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
