Starting therapy can feel empowering, confusing, or even intimidating—and it’s worth taking a moment to recognize the courage it takes to take this first step toward caring for your mental health. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment where you can explore challenges related to anxiety, depression, self-care, and more. My goal is to help you strengthen communication and boundaries with yourself and others so that you can improve your quality of life and move toward the future you envision. Therapy is not just about overcoming obstacles—it’s also about personal growth. Together, we’ll clarify your goals and identify strategies to help you move toward them, whether that means change over the next month, six months, or a year. You’ll leave our sessions with practical insights and “next steps” you can put into action right away. I believe life’s purpose isn’t simply to be happy, but to find meaning—and within that meaning, joy emerges. While the journey isn’t always easy, it can be transformative. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Addictions Professional, Internationally Certified Drug Counselor, and Behavior Analyst. I take a strength-based approach, helping you use your unique abilities to address challenges. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing to empower you in creating lasting change. Most importantly, I bring a relaxed, compassionate, and trustworthy presence, fostering a therapeutic relationship where you feel safe and supported.

For the past 12 years, I’ve had the privilege of helping individuals navigate life’s challenges, heal, and discover their potential through therapy. I’ve worked with diverse populations, including military personnel, youth, and adults, and I believe everyone deserves a space where they feel heard, understood, and supported without judgment. My ideal client is someone who is ready for change, needs a little encouragement to take that next step, or wants to better understand who they are, why they think and behave the way they do, and how to become the best version of themselves. Whether you’re navigating a life transition, working through past experiences, or simply trying to find your footing, you don’t have to have it all figured out before starting therapy. We all have a starting point, and you’re welcome to begin yours here.

Thank you for taking the first step of courage and making yourself a priority today. Opening yourself up and being vulnerable can be a tremendous step to your healing process. As Brene Brown says, “Vulnerability is not winning or losing, it’s having the courage to show up and be seen when we have no control over the outcome.” You are showing up for yourself today! Although the first steps can be overwhelming, I can walk with you and help guide you on the journey of healing and peace. I will always provide a safe space of acceptance and non-judgement for you to share your emotional pain, grow to love and be kind to yourself, and find the peace you deserve to heal. Remember that you are worthy and deserving of being free of the emotional pain you are experiencing. Be kind to yourself. **If you are viewing my profile for your child (3-17 years of age), I provide a calming and accepting space to assist with regulating your child's emotions. If your child is experiencing symptoms of anxiety, ADHD or difficulty focusing due to inattention or hyperactivity, or your child is lacking motivation and seems more irritable and angrier than usual, I can teach your child coping skills and strategies. Being the one who holds everything together can be exhausting, especially when your own needs go unnoticed. Perhaps you hold yourself to impossible standards, constantly questioning whether you've done enough. Maybe you're easily irritated, quick to anger, or carrying resentment you don't fully understand. You might avoid conflict, struggle to say no, or feel responsible for keeping everyone else happy. Or perhaps your struggles are quieter, showing up as harsh self-criticism, shame, or a persistent feeling that you're somehow not good enough. My practice focuses on supporting women navigating these experiences and the emotional exhaustion, relationship difficulties, and disconnection from self that may accompany them. Sometimes, understanding how we feel today involves exploring the experiences and relationships that have shaped us. Difficult childhood experiences, emotional neglect, abuse, painful relationships, and ongoing stress can influence how we view ourselves, manage emotions, and connect with others. Through a compassionate, collaborative, and nonjudgmental approach, we can explore the patterns that may be contributing to your struggles while developing healthier ways of responding to life's challenges. Together, we can work toward strengthening emotional awareness, establishing boundaries, building self-trust, and cultivating a more compassionate relationship with yourself. You deserve more than simply getting through each day. Therapy can be a space to begin moving beyond survival toward a life where you feel more grounded, connected, and able to thrive.

Hi, I'm Elizabeth Guinea, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida with 19 years of experience working with adults and couples navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, and life transitions. Over the years, I've worked with people from many different worlds, facing different expectations and pressures. Beneath those differences, familiar patterns often emerge: beliefs, habits, and ways of relating that once served a purpose but now keeps you repeating the same problem, and situations. I focus on changing the pattern underneath the symptoms. One of my strengths is recognizing those patterns quickly and helping you do something about them. Together, we'll connect insight with practical changes that fit your life. My goal is simple: for you to leave each session better than when you walked in -with greater clarity, a useful skill, or a concrete next step. I offer in-person sessions in Tampa and online therapy throughout Florida.

My approach is warm, practical, and grounded in neuroscience: understanding what's happening in your brain and body, and building small, steady tools that actually help on a hard day.

I’m Mysha, a licensed therapist, and I believe therapy should be a place where you can speak honestly without feeling like you have to have everything figured out. You may be used to showing up for everyone else, questioning yourself, or finding yourself in patterns you want to understand and change. Together, we’ll explore how your experiences shape your thoughts, emotions, and relationships while building confidence in your ability to express your needs, set boundaries, and make meaningful changes.

I completed my Masters in 2005, while also starting my journey in the field in 2004. I spent a year working in Opiate addiction but my true passion was children and families. I moved on to intensive services, working with underserved children and their families in rural areas, from 2005-2007. After leaving that position, I moved onto a company doing similar work. where I continued to work with children, families and adults that were underserved for 5 more years. I provided therapy in homes, schools and the office setting. I began to focus in on Trauma work as well as anxiety disorders to include OCD and all other anxiety disorders. After spending nearly 10 years in the field, I decided to get my license in the state of Florida (LMHC-Licensed Mental Health Counselor) and move into a management role where I worked for the past 13 years while also maintaining private clients. I supervise therapists, working to become licensed, so I spend a lot of time consulting on cases of all kinds. In this time I was also trained in various forms of trauma based cognitive behavioral approaches as well as EMDR (still learning however).

I am a licensed Mental Health Counselor. I am a former school counselor who spent over 20 years helping students and their families work corporately to identify and manage feelings and behaviors that impacted daily functioning. I graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelor's degree in teaching and completed my graduate work in counseling at Florida International University and Barry University. My passion for being in this field comes from believing that every individual should have a safe space to work through life challenges while feeling supported.

Hi, I'm Ashley, a Licensed Professional Counselor and Reiki II practitioner. I believe that somewhere underneath the anxiety, the self-doubt, and the patterns that keep repeating, there is a version of you that already knows the way. My job isn't to fix you. It's to create a space steady enough that you can actually hear yourself. Together we get curious about the thoughts that won't quiet down, the emotions that feel bigger than the moment, the behaviors that keep showing up even when you don't want them to, and what all of it is actually trying to tell you. I utilize a holistic approach, bringing tools into our work that help you understand what's happening in your mind and body when you're overwhelmed, so you can actually do something about it instead of just surviving it. But more than any method or modality, I show up as a real person walking alongside you, trusting that you are the expert on your own life. If you're ready to listen to that wiser part of yourself and create meaningful change, I'd be honored to walk with you.

Frequently asked questions

When looking for online therapy, you can see anyone that is credentialed in Florida. We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across Florida from Miami to Jacksonville! If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near you in Florida.

When booking you’ll be asked to verify with your Member ID. However, if you don’t have any of the insurances available you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
