You might be: -Overthinking, anxious, or needing reassurance in relationships - Feeling disconnected from your partner, even when things seem to be going okay -Trying to repair after a betrayal or affair and unsure how to move forward - You are a high-achieving, self-aware person who’s frustrated that insight hasn’t led to change yet I specialize in working with high-achieving individuals and couples, including those navigating affair recovery, parenthood, anxiety, and relationship disconnection. I know searching for a therapist can be a daunting process but I'm so glad you're here! Starting therapy can feel empowering, confusing, or even intimidating—and it’s worth taking a moment to recognize the courage it takes to take this first step toward caring for your mental health. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment where you can explore challenges related to anxiety, depression, self-care, and more. My goal is to help you strengthen communication and boundaries with yourself and others so that you can improve your quality of life and move toward the future you envision. Therapy is not just about overcoming obstacles—it’s also about personal growth. You’ll leave our sessions with practical insights and “next steps” you can put into action right away. I believe life’s purpose isn’t simply to be happy, but to find meaning—and within that meaning, joy emerges. While the journey isn’t always easy, it can be transformative. Hello! My name is Jeremy Brown! Has it been difficult and tough sometimes to talk to others like family and friends? Do you feel like people around you are not listening or hearing you when you speak? Do you struggle with self-compassion and self-gratitude? Have you always turned to other means to cope when stressed such as alcohol or other substances? I help individuals who are struggling with all the above and work side by side with you to formulate a healthier way to communicate and get to the root of your problems. I do so through the use of cognitive behavioral therapy which aims at changing the way we think and view various situations as well as solution focused therapy and strengths based techniques to show you that your are capable and strong to overcome. If you also struggle with substance abuse, I have 3 years of experience helping individuals suffering with alcohol, cannabis and stimulant use disorder find healthier ways to cope with issues than with the use of substances. I want to applaud you for taking the first step in your recovery and healing, this can all feel scary at first but you are on your way to healthier version of yourself! In our upcoming sessions together, I will meet you with compassion and empathy and take a collaborative approach to help you overcome any obstacle in your way. I look forward to working with you! Because sleep quality is critical to physical and mental health I am passionate about helping people get good sleep. I received my PhD from Duke University and have been a practicing psychologist for several decades. I work primarily with behavioral sleep medicine because sleep problems are so widespread, and there are not enough specialists to meet the need. I have published several articles and a book on sleep and am the director of the insomnia course for the World Sleep Academy, as well as a member of the Outreach and Public Education Committee, Society of Behavioral Sleep Medicine. I continue working with people with anxiety, depression, and couples issues on a limited basis. The methods I use are evidence-based and trauma-informed. I am also an ordained member of the clergy (rabbi) and consider one's spirituality an important part of treatment for many, though not all, people. I’ve practiced telehealth exclusively since early 2020. Most people appreciate working this way because of convenience. Therapy is not adversely affected, and I am even able to do hypnotherapy via telehealth.

I am a bilingual (English and Spanish) Licensed Therapist who works with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, stress, trauma, and self-esteem concerns. My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each client's unique needs. I primarily utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and a systemic perspective, recognizing that our experiences are shaped by our relationships, family systems, and environment. In Narrative Therapy, I believe that the problem is the problem, not the person. Together, we work to separate individuals from the challenges they face, helping them develop more empowering and meaningful life stories. I also integrate mindfulness-based interventions to help clients increase self-awareness, manage difficult emotions, and remain grounded during times of stress. My goal is to meet clients where they are, providing a safe, nonjudgmental space where they feel heard, respected, and supported throughout their therapeutic journey.

I help high-achieving adults who seem to have it all together. They have promotions, busy schedules, and always say, "I'm fine," but still feel anxious, tense, or quietly worn out. You might be the person everyone counts on. Maybe your life looks impressive from the outside, but it leaves you feeling drained inside. My approach is direct, approachable, and warm. I ask honest questions, share what I notice, and avoid vague therapy language. You don’t have to put on a front or worry about my feelings during our sessions. Together, we’ll figure out what’s really behind your anxiety, such as perfectionism, taking on too much, fear of falling behind, people-pleasing, or burnout, and practice real skills you can use right away. I also help with trauma and depression, even when it doesn’t look like the usual idea of "struggling." Sometimes, what seems like anxiety is actually a nervous system that’s been on high alert for a long time. It’s important to understand this, not just try to manage it. I draw on psychodynamic and psychoanalytic therapy to help us understand how your patterns started and why they continue. I also use CBT to give you practical tools you can use now. I’m trained in Brainspotting (Phase 1), which can help when anxiety or tension shows up in your body and talking hasn’t helped enough. I help high-achieving adults who seem to have it all together. I believe healing begins with feeling seen, heard, understood, and accepted. Whether you are navigating emotional challenges, relationship or family conflict, questions surrounding gender identity or sexuality, attachment and codependency concerns, or the effects of trauma, my goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where you can explore your experiences without judgment. As a therapist, I bring compassion, curiosity, authenticity, and an affirming approach to the therapeutic relationship. I believe therapy should be collaborative and individualized, recognizing that healing looks different for everyone. I strive to meet you where you are, help you understand patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and empower you with tools to navigate emotions, establish healthy boundaries, and build more fulfilling relationships. I specialize in working with individuals, couples, and diverse relationship structures navigating unhealthy or abusive relationship dynamics, attachment wounds, codependency, and unresolved trauma. I am particularly passionate about helping clients break unhealthy patterns, rebuild self-confidence, and develop healthier relationships with themselves and others. I also provide sex-positive, affirming care to sexually and relationally diverse populations, including polyamorous and ethically non-monogamous (ENM) relationships, as well as individuals and relationships involved in kink, BDSM, and consensual power exchange (CPE). My therapy space welcomes individuals, relationships, and families of all backgrounds, identities, sexual orientations, races, and cultures. You don't have to have everything figured out to begin. My hope is to help you heal from past hurts, navigate present challenges, reconnect with your strengths, and create a life that feels authentic, balanced, and fulfilling.

I completed my Masters in 2005, while also starting my journey in the field in 2004. I spent a year working in Opiate addiction but my true passion was children and families. I moved on to intensive services, working with underserved children and their families in rural areas, from 2005-2007. After leaving that position, I moved onto a company doing similar work. where I continued to work with children, families and adults that were underserved for 5 more years. I provided therapy in homes, schools and the office setting. I began to focus in on Trauma work as well as anxiety disorders to include OCD and all other anxiety disorders. After spending nearly 10 years in the field, I decided to get my license in the state of Florida (LMHC-Licensed Mental Health Counselor) and move into a management role where I worked for the past 13 years while also maintaining private clients. I supervise therapists, working to become licensed, so I spend a lot of time consulting on cases of all kinds. In this time I was also trained in various forms of trauma based cognitive behavioral approaches as well as EMDR (still learning however).

Frequently asked questions

When looking for online therapy, you can see anyone that is credentialed in Florida. We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across Florida from Miami to Jacksonville! If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near you in Florida.

When booking you’ll be asked to verify with your Member ID. However, if you don’t have any of the insurances available you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need. For example, your selected specialty, Depression, is filtering therapists in Florida that work with patients with similar concerns.

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
