Starting therapy can feel empowering, confusing, or even intimidating—and it’s worth taking a moment to recognize the courage it takes to take this first step toward caring for your mental health. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment where you can explore challenges related to anxiety, depression, self-care, and more. My goal is to help you strengthen communication and boundaries with yourself and others so that you can improve your quality of life and move toward the future you envision. Therapy is not just about overcoming obstacles—it’s also about personal growth. Together, we’ll clarify your goals and identify strategies to help you move toward them, whether that means change over the next month, six months, or a year. You’ll leave our sessions with practical insights and “next steps” you can put into action right away. I believe life’s purpose isn’t simply to be happy, but to find meaning—and within that meaning, joy emerges. While the journey isn’t always easy, it can be transformative. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Addictions Professional, Internationally Certified Drug Counselor, and Behavior Analyst. I take a strength-based approach, helping you use your unique abilities to address challenges. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing to empower you in creating lasting change. Most importantly, I bring a relaxed, compassionate, and trustworthy presence, fostering a therapeutic relationship where you feel safe and supported.

I’m a compassionate, curious, and lovingly direct human who believes that healing begins when we slow down to notice, listen to ourselves, and become more connected to our inner experience. My approach integrates Somatic Experiencing®, attachment theory, and parts work to help you understand how past experiences may be shaping your present-day emotions, relationships, and sense of self. I believe therapy is about reconnecting with the wisdom, resilience, and capacity for change that already exist within you, even when we feel broken. My own life journey has deepened my appreciation for the complexity of being human. I bring that appreciation for the whole person into my work, meeting each client with curiosity, openness, and respect for their unique experiences.

My name is Inessa -- I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with over 4 years of experience serving clients in private practice-type settings throughout the Sacramento area. Over these years, I have accumulated a passion for working with Clients looking to address challenges around their relationships (couples therapy), as well as neurodivergence and perinatal issues. I’m not a sit-back-and-nod type of therapist -- I love to collaborate with my clients to meet their goals and see them move past beliefs and/or patterns that have haunted them for many years. That being said, I show up as a grounded and collaborative therapist with an experiential approach. Outside of therapy, I am a wife, new(ish) mom, sister/daughter, musician, crafter, ADHD-er, and the occasional "world traveler". I was born and raised in Sacramento to Slavic immigrant parents. I help high-achieving adults who seem to have it all together. They have promotions, busy schedules, and always say, "I'm fine," but still feel anxious, tense, or quietly worn out. You might be the person everyone counts on. Maybe your life looks impressive from the outside, but it leaves you feeling drained inside. My approach is direct, approachable, and warm. I ask honest questions, share what I notice, and avoid vague therapy language. You don’t have to put on a front or worry about my feelings during our sessions. Together, we’ll figure out what’s really behind your anxiety, such as perfectionism, taking on too much, fear of falling behind, people-pleasing, or burnout, and practice real skills you can use right away. I also help with trauma and depression, even when it doesn’t look like the usual idea of "struggling." Sometimes, what seems like anxiety is actually a nervous system that’s been on high alert for a long time. It’s important to understand this, not just try to manage it. I draw on psychodynamic and psychoanalytic therapy to help us understand how your patterns started and why they continue. I also use CBT to give you practical tools you can use now. I’m trained in Brainspotting (Phase 1), which can help when anxiety or tension shows up in your body and talking hasn’t helped enough. I help high-achieving adults who seem to have it all together. Have you been overwhelmed with trying to navigate through the way you show up in your relationships with others, making you question your own self-identity? The goal is to help my clients navigate through some of these feelings/emotions with self-curiosity and compassion. I will always help hold a safe space for my clients to explore new therapy tools through a lens that is focused on self-discovery. One strong area of knowledge I offer is being trained in EMDR, standing for (Eye Movement, Desensitization, and Re-processing), which is a newer trauma-informed therapy that can be a good fit for clients that have tried therapy in the past and still feel stuck in a problem or are not sure if progress was even made. This is only one of the types of therapy approaches I offer. We will decide together what feels most supporting for you in our time together.

You’re the one everyone counts on. Who’s holding you up? You show up for your job, your family, your aging parent, your friends, and you make it look easy. Inside, you’re exhausted, stretched thin, or not quite feeling like yourself. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who helps overwhelmed, high-functioning adults and caregivers understand how stress is affecting their mind and body, so they can feel steadier, more grounded, and more like themselves again. Here’s what makes my approach different. Stress doesn’t only live in your thoughts. It shows up in your sleep, your shoulders, your patience, and your energy. As a certified yoga teacher currently training to become a yoga therapist, I combine practical talk therapy tools with mindfulness and body-based practices, so you leave sessions with something you can use that same night. I grew up between two cultures and worked overseas as an NGO worker, and I’m fluent in English, Korean, and Japanese. If you carry expectations from more than one world, such as the dutiful child, the reliable one, or the one who “should” be able to handle it, I understand the in-between, and you won’t have to translate your story for me. My role isn’t to tell you how to live. I ask thoughtful questions, offer fresh perspectives, and help you reconnect with strengths you already have, even when stress, grief, or change make them hard to reach. You don’t have to wait until you hit a wall. Reach out today and let’s start where you are.

Across all of these settings I have found the human experience, at its core, to be universal. To help my clients that struggle with these challenges, I use psychodynamic approach, CBT, ACT, exposure therapy, and Socratic questioning. I have also worked with couples in which I use the Gottman Method, which has helped several couples work through and strengthen their relationship. There have been times where instead of couples' therapy, individuals came to me on their own with problems in their romantic relationship. In those cases, I have found that exploring attachment style (anxious, avoidant, etc.) has worked best.

Welcome, my name is Julissa Santos, LCSW and I've been working in mental health for 6+ years. I aim to create a space where you can feel seen, heard, and supported throughout your healing journey. I take a holistic, culturally responsive, and nurturing approach to therapy, recognizing that your experiences, cultural background, relationships, and environment all play a role in your well-being. I work with individuals ages 16 and older who may be navigating depression, anxiety, grief and loss, chronic illness, adjustment-related challenges, or significant life transitions. My goal is to create a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your experiences, reconnect with your strengths, and develop tools to support meaningful growth and healing. Wherever you are in your journey, you deserve care that honors your unique story.

Hello, my name is Evan. I think many people have a deep desire to be seen, heard and understood for whom we really are. I particularly enjoy working with African American individuals (Black), BIPOC (Black Indigenous People of Color) and adult folks; as well as individuals who are dealing with the lingering effects of relational wounds/attachment wounds, and/or emotional overload. In addition, I work with women that are trying to navigate complex relationships; including but not limited to those that have experienced infidelity in their past relationships (either by being unfaithful or having had relationships with people that were emotionally unavailable); as well as women that are looking to find clarity regarding their own complicated relationship experiences without guilt/shame. Ultimately, my goal is to assist my clients in developing greater self awareness and ultimately to achieve meaningful, sustainable change in their relationships, overall emotional well-being and their everyday lives.

I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience helping individuals and families navigate trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relationship challenges. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, culturally responsive, and grounded in the belief that everyone deserves to feel heard, understood, and supported without judgment. I bring warmth, authenticity, humor, and real-life perspective into the therapeutic space, recognizing that healing isn't always a straight line. I draw from evidence-based practices while honoring each person's unique experiences, strengths, and cultural background. My goal is to help you better understand yourself, develop practical tools, and recognize that meaningful change is possible, even when life feels overwhelming. Therapy with me is an active, collaborative process. I believe in creating a safe, supportive space where you can feel heard and understood, while also being gently challenged to explore patterns, gain insight, and develop meaningful change. I don't believe therapy is about telling you what to do or how to live your life. Instead, we'll work together to identify your strengths, build practical coping strategies, and help you find your own voice. I bring warmth, honesty, humor, and encouragement into our work, but I also believe that growth requires participation, reflection, and a willingness to try something different.

Fertility & Reproduction Issues
Welcome, my name is Kiran and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW #28451) with over 20 years of experience. I specialize in and provide mental health support to people dealing with fertility issues, pregnancy, pregnancy loss, birth trauma, postpartum depression, and postpartum anxiety. I received my Masters in Social Work from the University of Southern California in 2002. In 2005, I started working on the maternal-child health floor in a hospital setting where I was able to help patients experiencing grief, loss, postpartum depression, and medical trauma. My passion truly lies in working with individuals going through their journeys and challenges in pregnancy, childbirth, any type of loss, adoptions, or surrogacies. In 2019, I struggled with my own loss of losing my father and felt it was the right time to move on from the medical field in the hospital setting to a smaller medical setting. Working as a preceptor in this new smaller medical setting, I quickly realized that this was not my calling as I began to miss working with the perinatal population. Soon after, I was given an opportunity to provide mental health therapy to the perinatal population and I believe this remains my calling. I am of Asian descent and love learning about everyone's family histories, cultures, foods, etc.

Have you found yourself wondering, “What is going on, and how do I make things better?” Whether you’re concerned about your child, navigating the challenges of adolescence, or facing difficulties in your own life, you may be wondering if it’s time to talk to someone who can help. Often, we feel we should be able to figure things out or manage life’s challenges on our own. But working with a skilled mental health professional can make all the difference. Therapy offers more than a space to talk; it provides the guidance, expertise, and supportive therapeutic relationship needed to navigate difficult experiences, understand complex emotions, and create meaningful, lasting change. I enjoy getting to know each person as a unique individual and tailoring my approach to their needs. With children and adolescents, I focus on fostering self-esteem, strengthening emotional regulation, and helping them understand and express their feelings in healthier ways which improves behavior and relationships. With adults, I help uncover underlying patterns and experiences that may contribute to relationship difficulties and emotional distress. Across all ages, I work to help clients develop greater self-understanding, build on their inherent capacity for growth, and experience a more fulfilling life.

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
